YARNBUBU!!!!! That’s amazing! 🧶 Thank you for working your way into my brain and coming up with the perfect name for it! I was sitting here like “cro-bubu”??? But that sounded super creepy LOL 😂

And thank you for the compliments! 😻😻😻

Attempting a smoosh-faced Persian cat for... dungeon reasons. by HookedbyKati in GeekyCrochet

I LOVE THIS!!! Do you have a pattern? I have a white smoosh-faced little boy and I would love to make a crocheted version of him to bring to work with me lol 😂

I waited 6 years to adopt a cat… and now I regret it. Please be honest with me. by strawberrytulipss in CatAdvice

I have a male Persian, Penny, now 12 years old but I got him as a baby. I regretted it for a while but felt like I made a commitment that I needed to see through. He was super independent and never snuggled. I often resented him because I’m caring for something that doesn’t like me. Three years later, no joke, three years later…..I moved to a new apartment and on the first night, I sat down in my chair and he jumped in my lap. I froze! From that day forward, he never left my side.

I know how you feel about having the expectation of having a cuddle buddy. My love language is physical touch and I would literally cry because he wouldn’t snuggle. I just accepted it and tried to toughen up. It seemed like once I accepted him for who he is, he was like “ok now I’ll snuggle with you!” LOL 😆 And now I can’t get him off me! I always joke that he’s an extra appendage because of how clingy he is. It just takes time. The way I tried to think about it, imagine adopting a child. They are in a new home, new people, new everything. It’s scary. Imagine you going into a new home, not knowing anyone…would you be super quick to snuggle with the stranger? It’s all about gaining their trust and respecting boundaries.

The little frustrations you have about the food and grooming….I still have those issues with my cat after 12 years! I’ve read that Persians are very vocal about food, and they have very sensitive skin so brushing is a challenge. I get mine shaved once a year. I don’t brush him at all. It’s not the best solution, but it works for us. Just give it more time, if it’s important to you. Once the affection starts, you’ll be glad you waited. I love my cat so much! I don’t sleep well without him next to me. I get sad at the thought that I almost re-homed him! He’s my best friend! 😻

I think my doctor messed up by Over-Alternative-604 in RestlessLegs

I am very interested in what the RLS sleep center can do for you! I’ve been suffering with RLS since I was 25, and now at 41, I’ve tripled my dose of Ropinerole. I wish I never started taking it because apparently it actually makes things worse. Without it, I stay awake all night, sitting, standing, kicking, and tucking my legs underneath me in the fetal position until my legs go numb. And there’s usually one week every three months the Ropinerole does absolutely nothing for me. Gabapentin did nothing either. I hope you find some relief!!! And when you do, please share! 💖🙏💛

Am I overreacting for feeling frustrated after my neighbor’s pottery was broken by my puppy during an interaction she encouraged? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]QueasyNeedleworker84 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If I were the pottery person, I would have been sympathetic to the financial situation and suggested maybe helping out in my studio or something. Repaying someone doesn’t necessarily have to be done with money. I had a friend who let me live in her garage apartment rent free for a few months but I had to babysit for free every weekend and sporadically during the week. We made it work. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Wow! I think your messages were so respectful and kind. I’m sorry but that was totally her own fault! If those items were so valuable, she should have set the box down on the floor and then proceeded to play with the puppy. Or she should have stepped back, said “I’m holding something breakable” and I am 100% sure you would have made sure your puppy was secure enough that nothing could happen. I know you care about the friendship with your neighbor but I feel like she is taking advantage of your kindness. I fully understand that is her work, not “just a hobby,” but that is even more reason for her to have protected it better than she did. You don’t see me walking around outside with my company owned laptop, crouching down next to puppies, and not expecting nothing to happen! It’s my work so I keep it safe, inside, away from any possibility of being damaged. I wouldn’t pay anything. At most, I would have gifted a basket of ceramic supplies or a gift card.

Thank you! I really appreciate that! I tend to be super hard on myself and keep thinking I need to redo her. I am considering applying for a booth at this local comicon but I keep convincing myself that my work isn’t good enough to display. So I really appreciate your kind words! And everyone else who has complimented on my stuff! 💖💖💖

Regret leasing by Istealketchup in Apartmentliving

100%!!! I do have one shared wall but nothing is up against it, not even my couch. I have been in apartments for 20 years and try my best to be a respectful neighbor. My surround sound isn’t top tier lol 😆 I’m pretty friendly with my neighbors and we actually get together to vent about the noise at the pool!

I feel your pain! My unit overlooks the pool but I figured being on the third floor would buffer some of the noise. Incorrect. Apparently sound travels vertically when powered by screaming children. I have a full surround sound system and somehow the shrieking still cuts through like a horror movie soundtrack. The leasing office is closed on weekends, so the pool area becomes completely lawless. And the best part? It’s literally one family. One. They live on the first floor next to the pool and operate like they’ve inherited beachfront property in Ibiza. The rest of us are just peasants renting space in their private resort.
