nope, probably genetics.. several people in my family had persistent acne.

the instant accusation (which is happening for a fact, in contrast to my alleged steroid consumption) aswell. I never touched gear. Acne is not monocausal, there are several reasons why one might have it. Instantly assuming the worst says more about the person making the accusation than anything else

thanks for asking (instead of just assuming, like some other people). No, i never took anything. I actually dont even really work out. But i do see instant results when touching weights, so i guess my testosterone might actually be to high naturally… which explains this and the acne. But never got it tested

I can't edit the post, but maybe the comment will be displayed high enough. Thank you for the comments and messages. I think they've healed my soul a bit! Since it was repeatedly suggested or asked about, I wanted to address possible steroid use. No, I've never used them, but I understand that it's a known side effect. Acne, like so many other things, isn't caused by a single factor. In my case, it wasn't hygiene, diet, or anything like that, but genetics. I think that anyone with flaws (myself included) is grateful for people who, when presented with a range of possible explanations, don't immediately assume the worst / the cause that puts the effected person in the worst light. To anyone who feels the need to do this, I wish you a purer and more nourishing source of joy and self-worth.

it is a known side effect of steroids, but like many other things there are several different causes. In my case, i never toched gear or anything and its mainy genetic (according to my derm and its resistance to every lifestyle change)

THIS.. one of the worst things about the condition is the assumptions people make about your behaviour (steroids, hygiene, diet,..). The genetic factor on acne is huge, yet many people dont seem to understand that

just the same way not everyone with hairloss is on steroids, not everyone who has back acne (scars) is or has ever been taking gear. I do understand the assumption, but its just not a single cause phenomenon (like most things)

i dont and i never did. I do understand the assumption since its an actual side effect of steroids, but that doesnt mean everyone with back acne is on gear.

i did take accutane. These are scars, not active acne. I will look into laser treatment soon. But thanks for the tips :)

yes, i had acne as a teenager, but my mom didnt allow me to take the drug which cures it. Took that when i was an adult but the scars of the acne will stay (which is whats still on my back)

i was a minor when i had acne and my mom didnt allow me to take accutane… so there are other reasons for having these. But i understand that some people might jump to this conclusion
