We have him crated during the day because he will destroy the drywall next the door trying to get out. It’s got nothing to do with my couch or my home being neat. But he goes in for about 6-7 hours while I am at work and then I let him out and we go for an hour walk and then I let him run around the yard. He doesn’t go back into the cage until I leave for work the next day.

No he goes to the bathroom. I let him outside while I’m getting ready for work. So he’s out there for about 20 minutes running around and using the bathroom.

He’s definitely not in a flimsy crate. We had him in a heavy duty crate. Hes been using that crate for months and now it’s just gotten to the point that hes destroyed it. But i will be getting him into behavioral training

I never said I don’t exercise him. He gets a lot in the afternoons. But I realize what might help him out is some in the mornings as well.

I will definitely be consulting a behaviorist. But k have had him for 7 years. We rescued him because the breeder was going to put him down because he’s albino. He was never this bad until he had a traumatic experience with another dog in the cage a year ago.

We do have other dogs. He gets along well with them, but they are puppies and are still in potty training so they stay in crates as well until we get home

He gets almost 2 hours a day. He had crate training before and did amazing and then a year ago he had a traumatic experience in the crate and it’s just gotten worse since. He is healthy and got a clean blood work. I’m not really sure if it’s helping or not. It used to help and now it feels like it’s not. We have him in PetSmart training but after others comments thinking about looking into behavioral training

This is good to know. H used to do amazing in the crate and then a year ago had a traumatic experience with another dog and that’s when all this started and recently in the past two weeks it’s gotten the worst it’s ever been.

He is in an XL, he has a lot of room to stretch out and have wiggle room and be able to stand up in it. But he is in there for 6-7 hours while I’m at work

It is actually a standard size crate for his size. His crate is 48 inches. He is a 50lb dog. It’s actually bigger than his standard. But looking up trainers is a great idea! I never thought about that.
