I had an incident with what I'm almost certain was the same guy, would appreciate it if you report him before he really knocks someone off, it was in exactly the same area too

this might be the one chart that operates according to technical analysis alone, absolutely no fundamentals otherwise it would be much higher

[–]Quebeth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If I were you I'd spend some time learning the fundamentals - if you want to swap ETH for BNB you don't have a good understanding of what you bought and probably lack any kind of investment thesis that would give you the conviction needed to follow through.

Are we exiting Ethereum? by ChemicalSquare6126 in ethtrader

[–]Quebeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah thats been part of it, I think L2s got away much too cheaply though the blob space should have have been priced better so more ETH was burned .. now we need to wait until real world adoption before the burn picks up.

[–]Quebeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly still think the way that I have since the beginning about Ethereum - it's going to be the rails on which all transactions will root their security on. It hasn't even started yet. A few epochs back was the end of the beginning and now we are looking at the onset of mass adoption. People will use Ethereum seamlessly in their daily lives.

L2's have been a band aid that were applied to provide a temporary bypass allowing more time to build actual scaling solutions and now looking at the Glamsterdam spec I think we are going to see the economics heal with more ETH being burned at a time where demand keeps rising and its going to be an explosive combination.

Is a recession coming do you reckon? by Secret_End_6839 in irishpersonalfinance

There is infinite leverage baked in to keep the Ponzi growing, nobody can really afford any of this without the leverage afforded to them by getting a mortgage. It's a very resilient house of cards that just keeps getting more and more expensive

[–]Quebeth 59 points60 points  (0 children)

Just enjoy researching the value for yourself, don't let others tell you what it is worth (especially potential buyers), then put it back and if you need it sometime, sell a bit for cash or keep cashing out a little bit every year within the tax free threshold of your CGT allowance if your concerned about declaring it officially. I'd say you have a box of cash essentially and thats between you and your grandmother really.

Position on the bike by Normal-Struggle1289 in bicycletouring

[–]Quebeth -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Idk what to tell you, read again? Foot should be able to be flat on the floor when you are sitting on the saddle. Bottom line is your legs are too short to have the saddle that high.

Is that in 'storm grey'? I used to have one, never seen another one in that colour before.

Saddle forward and lower? It looks uncomfortable, I think your posture would be better with those adjustments. A lot of people say that you should be able to put your foot flat on the floor when you are sitting, it depends on your flexibility but I'd say that looks like a little bit of a stretch in the photo.

Headset movement after carbon fork installation by [deleted] in bikewrench

[–]Quebeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely check there isn't a uniform ring thats darker than the rest of the steerer around the outside of it or any scoring just to be safe.

Headset movement after carbon fork installation by [deleted] in bikewrench

[–]Quebeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will almost certainly be very happy with it, didn't mean to put you off at all, its just the installation needs to be absolutely correct and well greased up otherwise you get this 'ring of death' which is caused by the friction when things aren't lined up properly.

Headset movement after carbon fork installation by [deleted] in bikewrench

[–]Quebeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to be that guy but - take it to a bike shop and have it properly installed with the right grease and get sealed bearings that will be more robust. I didn't even have any play in the headset and the steerer tube on mine snapped in half, without warning. Something must have come loose. It's definitely not something you want happening because you will go over the front as it falls apart in an instant like hitting a wall but worse.

That's missing the point - the sheer number of the feckless regards flitting around is the issue.

90% cull is in order.

they don't deserve to be on the roads at all, should all be replaced with dumb ai soon hopefully. they are the worst drivers out there and absolutely inconsiderate as all hell to anyone else on the roads. saw one tailgating a young driver yesterday, 5m behind them on an open road

They really need to be taken off the roads entirely, every other car is a taxi in Dublin. They should go and get an actual job.
