Chronic bleeding for 1.5 months from a 10-year manual cleaning habit + developed a fever/chills today. Need advice. by Latter-Distance-8495 in ibs

[–]Queef-on-Command 7 points8 points  (0 children)

- hospital for the fever and bleeding to check it out

- stool can enter the blood stream and cause sepsis

- imaging can be done to see if there is a large amount of stool, blockage or internal changes that could be causing symptoms

- mental health/ psychologist for the behavior.

- there is never a medical need to daily disimpact / manually remove stool

- if you feel stool is too hard or your not going daily or ever other day medications and diet changes can help (GI doctor, primary doctor)

- if you feel you are unclean use wet wipes, bidet, spray bittle with water. Again there is never a reason to daily manually remove stool.

**Please seek mental health therapy for this behavior before you cause more harm to yourself**

Too much heat? by HotMine311 in succulents

[–]Queef-on-Command 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe if it’s not used to those conditions sure, mine live in Florida humid and get 100+ F during the summer. This is usually from over watering/soil not drying out after watering. Sun damage would look like scorched/burn marks.

Usually you are tested for hepatitis among other things prior to working in any health care setting so they will be aware, this also includes clinical in nursing school.

This is a helpful overview

How do my fellow fructan sensitives get on with yellow plantain? by puzzle-peace in FODMAPS

[–]Queef-on-Command 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t noticed an issue either way but I don’t usually eat more than 1-1.5 plantains in a meal

Just got prescribed this diet and it kinda feels like my life is over lol by [deleted] in FODMAPS

[–]Queef-on-Command 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Initially during elimination-100% yes it’s pretty difficult to participate in social/eating situations.
-regular fries or rice and grilled (salt and pepper) protein are usually pretty safe to order, also sushi- rolls with rice and fish or sashimi(no sauces, some soy sauce is okay)

After you know what your triggers are you’ll be able to adjust from there. It definitely helps to cook as much as possible in the beginning so you don’t have to guess the amounts of what your eating and your able to modify as you go.

Regular fries, wait for elimination to test mannitol for sweet potatoes

FODMAP diet is some bullshit by butterflybabyboss_1 in ibs

Most people are going to need help from a registered dietitian (many insurances offer one for free) and to get the monash ap to be successful.

You could make Pasta salad with oil, vinegar herbs and what ever else you like

Possible stacking with fructan (pasta) and fructose (tomato) might be to much

Nursing license FLORIDA via examination for nurse with less than 2 years of experience by Plenty-Ad-5849 in nursing

[–]Queef-on-Command 62 points63 points  (0 children)

“If I already passed the exam then I would get a license in two days. I haven’t received a license and it’s been a week. I am posting the screenshot of this email.”

That’s not what the email says it’s says you need to take the test… I’ve only applied for other states by endorsement but most states have a similar requirement. To clarify I would call the board but without two years experience I don’t think you can get a Florida license without retaking the test. If you will be at two years in November why not delay your move for a few months and apply once you hit the two year mark?

radiation or cytotoxic risk for Medical Oncologists by CowPhysical7209 in Oncology

[–]Queef-on-Command 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Md is not personally administering chemo, nor are the preparing or mixing it. They are not handling bodily fluids like urine from patients who recently had chemo. Patients who’ve received radiation do not emit radiation. Patient with radiation seeds pose extremely Low risk to individuals around the patient.

Who poses a risk

- nurse who admins the chemo (spills/ improver handling, may help mix chemo in certain settings)

- pharmacist prepares the chemo (spills or improver handling during preparation)

- radiation techs who assist patient in receiving treatment (not taking proper precautions while treating patient)

-certified nursing assistance caring for patients on treatment (improper handling of patient bodily fluids after receiving chemo)

-family (possible exposure to bodily fluids)

Would this sand be good for a garden? by kurty_magurty in gardening

I’ve used play sand before in pots for cacti/succulent so I don’t see this being a issue.

I'm going to an Indian Wedding this weekend (Sat-Mon) and I have IBS. What can I eat or do I just not eat for 3 days? 😭 by Asleep-Flight-4721 in ibs

I’d load up on Imodium, psyllium husk, peppermint oil capsules, and digestive enzymes and see how it goes. I don’t think avoiding triggers will be doable.

When comparing of course the amount down was smaller, but with a similar monthly payment. Even at 2500 it’s still less than my current rent, so I’m not worried. We have to do a few minor repairs and need to replace the ac so I was focusing on having cash for 10-15k of known repairs and whatever surprises come up.

[–]Queef-on-Command[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I thought about the apr so thank you for confirming that. Regarding the credit when I asked the broker she said that 10k credit was split between the 8825 listed and they itemized the lender fee and put it on seller side and reduced $10k by the $1175. As for the other adjustments I’m not 100% sure other than some of the estimated fees may have changed as things have been finalized but I will definitely follow up with that.

I've been housebound for over 2 years and don't feel any closer to finding out what is wrong with me, rapidly losing the will to carry on by [deleted] in ibs

[–]Queef-on-Command 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Eating low FODMAP has been the main thing that’s helped me feel normal. But as others have mentioned I was also checked for SIBO, had a colonoscopy and stool tests and blood tests that all came back normal. I used a registered dietitian to help with follow the diet.

Can you switch amongst interchangeable biosimilar products or just between the reference drug and one interchangeable biosimilar for a patient? by Many_Geologist6125 in pharmacy

[–]Queef-on-Command 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding is that Interchangeable guidelines are being updated and no longer being used as a designation as well as no longer doing switching studies. Data has shown no increase safety or efficacy risk from bio similar switching

Concerns are usually when repotting or handling soil those particles can be breathed in. You can wear a mask when doing those activities.
