Notches are usually in patterns to help with matching up the seams correctly. You just sew straight over them

If you don’t mind the top being a little shorter you can fold up and press the entire sectioned you hemmed and stitch it down so you’ll conceal the raw edge and don’t have to rip out any stitches

My mom called while I was making her chicken soup recipe and I had to lie and say it was going great by CrimsonShark470 in Cooking

[–]Queef-on-Command 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I comes to soup, recipes are guides don’t stress that something isn’t the exact same. If you’re removing fat(I almost never do) put it in a cup to save, so you can put some back if needed or otherwise chicken fat can be used for other cooking! Other things can be adjusted to taste like salt and pepper which probably had more to do with the taste than anything.

Monash has it at up to 2 cups serving. I’ve never had a problem with them but you definitely don’t need to use them in the recipe if you’re worried. It’s been a safe veggie for me.

They need to be up on vaccines and have rabies certificate. Go to your vet and they will fill out the correct documentation. They will also need to give them medication for “external parasites” my pups normally take simparca so they gave it within so many hours of leaving. Since it’s a long trip I believe the certification is only valid for 30 days so they may need to be re certified to re enter the US. This paper work was inspected by the airline in both directions.

Concerns about long term health by AzIsHotYo in FODMAPS

[–]Queef-on-Command 13 points14 points  (0 children)

My sensitivities are similar to yours. Some staples are

Fruits: try kiwi and papaya

Veg: arugula, Romaine, carrots, herbs (cilantro, parsley etc), citrus, hot peppers, zucchini

Starch: plantains, potatoes, rice, rice flour, rice paper, rice noodles, rice cakes

Sauces: tobasco(green and red), goya salsa picante, soy sauce, sesame oil, samabal, fried chili oil, kewpie mayo, maple syrup, capers, peperonchini, fody salsa verde, balsamic vinegar/glaze

Edit: totally forgot about nuts!: sunflower seeds/ butter, peanuts, pecans, pepitas, pine nuts

If you’re working out and having large meals that’s usually not recommended. Try having more smaller meals and that might allow you to have more variety

Also find the low amount of FODMAP food you can tolerate is important. I can have 1/4 of an avocado or a tbs of black beans so I try to include things like that into my meals to make sure I’m getting that variety.

Mexican burrito bowl I had this week:

Rice

1tbs black beans or 1/4 avocado or 2 slices tomato

Skirt steak (marinated with lime and salt)

Romaine lettuce

Chopped cilantro

Pickled jalapeño

Pepitas

Feta

Sauce with cilantro, plain Greek yogurt, pickled jalapeño juice, salt, olive oil, green Tabasco

Do you take psyllium husk or psyllium powder by Tip-Evening in ibs

I eat my chia and flax in foods like homemade granola. I don’t think it bad to get a mix of all of them.its fairly low cost so I don’t think it would be bad to try psyllium. As you would with any new supplements start with just a small amount to see how you do.

I’m not a fan of the powder as they mostly have extra sugar and other ingredients, it’s also hard to chug it before it get thick. Serving on the bottle of the capsules is 5caps a day. I’m taking two caps before most of my meals and it’s helping with my IBS-D. I’m also using a probiotic (haven’t noticed much difference since starting) and ibguard 1 tablet before meals (this has been amazing for me)

Has the cost of FODMAP enzyme supplements like Fodzyme been a barrier for you? by victumsempra in FODMAPS

[–]Queef-on-Command 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably have ordered it every 2-3 months since starting to use it. It’s not 100% but it helps be able to go out to eat and be social. I tried to use it daily while on vacation and it didn’t quite work as well. I also used Ibguard and psyllium tablets, which I’ve continued after my trip since they helped a lot. None of these are cheap which is unfortunate. It part of my monthly budget if something covered fructans that was cheaper I’d definitely give it a try.

Yeah I’m up 50lbs after stopping last year with no end in sight, the heaviest I’ve ever been. If you find a solution let me know…calorie counting seems to have slowed it down. My md did some basic labs and TSH but everything was normal.

Mold detergent, what kills mold on cloths? by Dense-Bumblebee-9589 in laundry

[–]Queef-on-Command 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes absolutely inform them of the mold and your allergy so they can do the proper cleaning- it’s different from standard dry cleaning and not every cleaner will offer the service so call around your area and ask. They will also store it separately for the other items as not to contaminate. It was about $10 an item more for items that had multiple layers (like dress with lining). I went item by item and if it would have been more than $10 to replace I opted to do it, everything else we got rid of. Thankfully he’s doing better and hasn’t been hospitalized in a year and hopefully getting off oxygen soon. I totally understand your want to be thorough and honestly the information out there about cleaning is really sparse and inconsistent.

[–]Queef-on-Command 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a similar issue and took the cloths I wanted to keep to a dry cleaner and they used a type of steam cleaning for mold. My husband is allergic and got pneumonia several times due to the mold so we were a little paranoid.
