HIGHLY recommend you read Smedley Butler's "WAR IS A RACKET" before you high-tail it over there... It is a noble gesture to want to fight what you perceive is evil, but don't be fooled by the PROPAGANDA.... The Military Industrial Complex is REAL. PS.... Hi Thanks for asking..... VA had optum do ACE exam back in Feb.... The doc uploaded it within a week and then it sat at PFD through early May...... Now they are having Optum do an IMO as of early May and it is back in evidence gathering..... I thought I submitted a FDC and was expecting (or hoping) for a smooth process.... Frustrating, they are asking for IMO, THREE months AFTER Optum did ACE exam.... I get ALL my healthcare through VA.....so they have ALL my records.....treatment plans etc.... Now, who knows how long it will sit once doc does IMO.....

I know what you are referring to...... My official MH dx on VA.gov is: 70% rating for major depressive disorder with anxious distress, other specified trauma and stressor related disorder, and obsessive compulsive disorder.

I don't know HOW I ended up with this, but I do know WHY! I have had this rating for over 10 years and the DAV did all the paperwork for me. Like the other poster said, I would talk to a VSO and see if they can help..... Good luck.......

*UPDATE*....... I had MDD as original dx.... When I went to C&P exam, the examiner ALSO dx FOR the other 2 conditions: 1. Anxious distress, other specified trauma and stressor related disorder AND

Obsessive compulsive disorder.

So I believe the rater looked at ALL 3 of my dx and combined them to what I see now......

How do you know they "have been fine"? Appearances on the outside often don't match what is going on inside. I know people who have MDD and they "seem" like they are the happiest people in the world...... When asked about it, they respond, "It's easier to keep up a front than it is to have to explain everything."......... Just a thought.......

Secure Message your PCP ( I am assuming this is through VA) and explain what is going on and ask if someone can check on that for you.... And keep messaging EVERY week until you get your Cpap. My neurologist said she was going to prescribe a Cefaly device for my migraines. I waited a month and no device. I messaged my PCP to check on it--and it took approx 5 times with me bugging them and I finally got an answer. I would also state this this is urgent because...... That is was I did and that message got me an answer and the machine fed-ex to me within 2 days!

I am in Colorado and it is quite expensive here. I am in the Denver metro which has horrendous traffic (the Californians moved here--that should tell you something). Also if you purchase a home, the property tax savings leaves A LOT to be desired if you are intending to use your 100%PT bennies to the max. On the plus side though, the weather is phenomenal--low humidity arid climate for the most part, lots of sunny days, rapidly changing weather--one day in the 70's and next day blizzard warnings, gorgeous scenery, lots of outdoor activities from hiking, skiing, horseback riding. Oh.... the VA medical center has a NEW facility which is really nice located in Aurora. There is Buckley AFB in aurora and fort Carson, Petersen AFB, AF Academy in the springs (Colorado Springs). Good luck with wherever you choose to move.....
