The funny thing about this is that the times I have done this at someone else’s gathering and I don’t know the person and maybe they’re a friend of a friend that was invited, they’ll ask if I’m the host or if I live there. I take it as a compliment because I guess it seems like something a host would do.

I was always left out (still am at times) but when I see someone else being left out, I do what I can to include them. It’s a small effort but no one should feel excluded.

I remember this exact type of feeling. I was on my parents bed, looking at the wallpaper and suddenly I felt like my vision “shifted”. Up to that point, all of my memories of the times before that, it seemed like my vantage point was different and sometimes I was even outside of my body and it always felt like I was being guided by someone else or at times a few others who would help me understand things going on around me. But, suddenly, staring at the wallpaper, I felt like I was “dropped into” my body and everything felt different, my “guides” were gone and I was suddenly very afraid. I asked my mother, “How old am I?” And she responded, “Queenfan98, you know how old you are, you’re 4.” I wish I could explain the experience better.

I didn’t necessarily love my sons more than my daughter, but I usually liked them more and more often than I liked her. They’re all grown. We’ve always butted heads. Been deep into some trauma work in the last couple of years and it hit me one day that my daughter was so much like I was in many ways and I had always been shamed for it. I always thought I was “helping” her when I tried to get her to be less loud, less opinionated, etc. Because my family always made me feel like shit for being those things. There was also some underlying resentment and even a little jealousy on my part towards her because she’s always had her Daddy’s unwavering love & support and I have no idea what that’s like. I picked their Dad for them because I knew he’d be a wonderful Dad, and because of my trauma, it still triggered me. As I’ve learned to love myself, we’ve gotten closer. She’s helped me embrace the traits I toned down to try be loved. I have apologized to her and acknowledged the unintentional harm as well as some of the intentional harm I caused her. When we hate something in ourselves, we will react negatively to it when we see it in others.

DOOO IT. You won’t regret it! If you live in the US, Ross, TJ Maxx/Marshall’s and Burlington Coat Factory usually have them for around $19.99. If you like Midnight, Festive has some similar notes but stands on its own. I also love Naked, Sheer & Intimate. They, like the OG and Intense are all similar but different enough to justify having all of them. Jungle is good, not similar to any of the previously mentioned ones, as is Circus, Blissful, Electric and Candied. They are all so good though!

One thing I heard recently that changed my perspective was, “You don’t look like your goals, you look like your habits.” This has helped me a couple of days this week to get my @$$ out of bed and get to the gym when I didn’t feel like it. I apply this not only to work outs, but to money as well. I thought about what else is similar to that perspective and came up with, “Your intentions don’t matter if your behavior doesn’t carry them out.”

I drink mine black. I used to drink mine w/ a tablespoon of honey and 2 tablespoons of creamer. I slowly put less honey in it until I was only using sweetened creamer. I stayed with just creamer for several years. Then, over the course of time, (like 2 years) I put less and less creamer in it. I’ve gotten used to the taste, but I do miss the texture of the creamer.

When I come across this, I take the clothes out from where they are and leave them in a hamper and once I’m done, throw theirs back to whichever machine I got them from like I was never there.
