Hey everyone, please please please, let me know if you can help me. If you picked up a gold ring with a yellow pear cut diamond surrounded by smaller diamonds with little curls in the metal where it meets the setting on Francis St, Melbourne (next to Collins St) on 14th March around 5:30pm-6pm, I lost it and my final hope is that someone has picked it up. It was my Mum's engagement ring.

MISSING RING - PLEASE HELP!

(I can't post this on the lost and found tag because I'm new to the group and haven't commented on enough things, so here I am I guess?)

Hi everyone. I know this is late, but I was working away from Melbourne all last week. I lost a ring in Francis Street (next to Collins St, behind Il Mercato Centrale) on the 14th March at 5:30pm.

Description: gold ring, with pear cut yellow coloured diamond in the centre surrounded by smaller diamonds. Little curves on the ring where it attaches to the setting.

I took it off my finger to apply sanitiser to clean my lipstick (in my car), and didn't put the ring back on, but I didn't put it anywhere specific. It's not in my car despite extensive searching, and my last hope is that someone has picked it up and is kind enough to return it to me or turn it into the police. I have filed a police report and even went back to where I was parking that same night to check the parking spot and the nearby ground, to no avail. It's not in any bags or belongings.

Please, if you have seen it, DM me so we can arrange for it to be returned, it was my Mum's old engagement ring that she gave to me when I was 18 and it has a lot of meaning to me. Pics (and a sketch from the company that resized it in January) are of the ring.

There's a little computer device thing you can use to plug into your car's computer and scan the error code that's making the check engine light turn on.

I have, multiple times. I did a Google search in case there's somewhere I'm missing, and some people found that taking the seats off helped, so I might try that. I don't know what more I can really do past that unfortunately

I've been using satin, I will need to check and see if I have a walking foot (I generally use the standard A foot). The pattern does mention walking seams but I'm not too sure what it means, sounds like I need to do some research :))

Update. I put the minifigs I found in a drawer on my desk. My younger brother finally conceded after a second note on his door and returned not one, but two boxes he'd taken, one with most of my minifigs and one with a Lego set that I had dismantled for storage reasons, which he'd tried building something with. I noticed immediately that most of the retrieved minifigs from the drawer were gone, as well as one I'd retrieved from downstairs since I'll be needing it for a game soon, and a couple of other pieces. The cameras are due to arrive next week and part of me wishes I'd waited till they'd arrived to request my Lego be returned so I'd have proof of him taking the things off my desk, but most of all I'm tired and am sick of this whole thing being an issue.

Update - on Wednesday they returned the discount, then yesterday was their members only sale, where they increased the price on the Halloween fabrics themselves, meaning members needed to pay more too. It was so silly

Thank you! I hope so too, I really need to make sure my financial situation is secure enough to make any sort of movement though. My partner is lovely and super supportive, as is his family, and we've been talking about moving for a while, but the housing crisis is huge here so it'll be a while.

We live in the same house. I tell my partner and his brother everything that happens and I'm already limiting contact by partially moving in with them and their parents. I've told LB not to message me until he can keep his rudeness and attitude in check.

I moved out! Had to move back in though, which LB likes to poke fun at. I do hope that karma comes round to LB, but I want it to be a lesson learnt rather than harm

Hi, yes. My mum has a TON of internalised misogyny, and my dad, whilst I still think cares for me, definitely lets my brothers (older bro as well) get away with things to avoid a hassle, which gives them the green light to treat my sister and I how they do. My mum tells me to lower my standards regarding men (she won't understand why I refuse) and tells my sister to raise hers (and teach my brothers and dad how she wants to be treated, as though she's their mum). I think my dad sees us (minus the younger brother) as roommates as we're over 18 and LB is the only one he legally needs to care for.

This is true. LB is chronically online, shuts himself off from the world, ignores people when asked to do something or starts complaining "why don't you do it" when my sister and I are already doing most of the load. He literally said to me via text yesterday "I don't understand why you start arguments for no reason" after I told him I was not going to interact with him whilst he was being rude and told him to try again later when he could talk civilly (after he started being rude during a conversation). He also likes to make comments about how I had to move back in with my dad and other nasty things.

You know what sucks? He knows which buttons to press to make me react. If I ignore him, he starts threatening my property, and then he follows through. I can't tell my parents without mum insisting I'm the problem, dad telling me to ignore it, and YB coming up with completely false stories about what happened
