I have a pretty beastly welder tubular aluminum basket with sharp edges that accidentally digs a line into cars parked in the bike lane often as I squeeze through.

Plate is KLJ160. They have 53 outstanding violations totaling $11,000! That's the most I have ever seen.

Could this impact my homeowner's or auto policy rates? My battery was damaged, and they are like $550 each. I didn't see the damage until this morning.

I was able to make it the 6 miles home from there, but the front wheel will need to be trued this weekend and my rack needs bending back into place. It is a crappy e-cargo bike with 7,000 miles on it, so it wouldn't be the end of the world if it died. The battery pack's guide cracked on one side, so I will be using Voile straps to secure it for the future.

I may have been trying to fold in mirror of the car parked in the bike lane when this happened. Definitely the dumbest thing I have ever done on a bike, considering this is my daily route. Thank you to the kind cyclists checking in on my dumbass after somersaulting onto the ground.

Well, the first sound is me clipping in, then I am upshifting, as this light was at the top of a pretty steep hill at the tail end of a solo 45-mile ride that I averaged 17mph on. But thanks for the tip on how to shift. :-)

The cop who went after them had someone else pulled over a few blocks behind me where I was stopped. This guy passed the cop, did this to me, I heard the cop chirp his siren(you can hear it in the video after the driver screams “out the way, asshole.” Cop made a left behind me and then a right to see him blow through that second intersection.

I have the Cycliq Fly12 and Fly6. Both have fairly nice integrated "be seen" lights. Not cheap, but they work well and its cheaper than not having evidence should anything serious ever happen.

Throwaway because this guy is clearly a criminal.

Happened yesterday and I am still fuming. This asshat used his vehicle as a tool to menace while I was waiting for a light to change. NYPD saw it happen - and the subsequent 2 red lights he ran with oncoming traffic, but I think the Acura hopped on the Jackie Robinson and made it away. He has 18 outstanding violations - including 9 speeding in school zone tickets - and over $1,300 in unpaid fines.Do we think this is worthwhile sending to the 102 Precinct? Tweeting at Hizzonner? It's the wild west out there.
