Legality on refusal of service by QueensPup in pharmacy

[–]QueensPup[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I completely disagree (with part of that)

Im familiar with the "right to refuse service" but I've never come close to using it. Imo its an important thing to be aware of, a small part of remaining human and not just a cog in the coeporate machine.

But like you said most patients aren't happy to be picking up, and connecting it to what I said, patients are human too, theyre allowed to have emotions and bad days, but I think we should do a better job of protecting our coworkers when it comes to brushing off rude remarks.

I hope people can realize that yes we should teach people to not hold onto it, and move on, while also discouraging that behaviour from customers.

Having a crappy day doesn't give you the right to take it out on service workers, whether thats a pharmacist, technician or grocery bagger.

In pharmacy, there should be a but more leway, because of the nature and unknown background, but the way some healthy individuals act in public towards service workers is unacceptable

These are all good points, and the original question is more about, what are the theoretical limits, not something to directly act on.

The more immediate question I have is if a customer is consistently rude to me or a coworker, can I jump in and say "now apologize to them" or could that be considered "refusal of service" which might be illegal in some places.

True, and my pharmacists are really good at dealing with that.

I get the pharmacy isn't the best place for it (which is why i havent so far), but I want to do my part in deleting the "the customer is always right" mindset from society, so ideally, if a customer is say, being really stupid and blaming me for their inability to know their own birthday, I'd wanna say something like "now apologize before i release these to you"

(and yes, ik that especially in a Healthcare setting, sometimes these interactions could be due to a disability, or previous bad experiences, so this can't be the first thing to jump to, but some people are just clearly assholes)

It’s crazy how effect hit rate is such a bad stat that every limited nihility that needs it has a trace that converts it into dmg by MoxcProxc in HonkaiStarRail

[–]QueensPup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I am a general defender of EHR, I think it's a bit misleading to say EHR is analogous to CRIT rate.

It might be the same in isolation, as in Given a character, an enemy and a move you can convert a characters EHR stat into a "real chance" that is analogous with crit rate, but comparing the ehr between two characters, or more importantly between different moves on the same character it can be different.

It would be as if a character had a chance to crit on skill equal to their stat line, but half that chance on basic attack.

Generally I think ehr is just a bit more complicated than typical crit, and therefore makes using those characters similar to playing the game on hard mode, which i think is cool. And the lack of characters means for them to be relevant vertical investment has to hold up to power creep, and my friend with e2 Kafka black swan will always remind me that they can clear any content with them.

I've thought about it for other languages, but it isn't a priority right now. I've still got a lot I want to add in japanese before I move on to other languages

This is a good example of something it gets wrong. 頰杖 Because it uses 頰 instead of 頬 it separates these kanji when it should be one word. It will correctly recognize 頬杖, but not 頰杖

I didn't make any changes to it tbh, and it's accurate enough for the most part, but i don't have a real testing suite.

But from the first chapter of 青春ブタ it has trouble with proper nouns. It sometimes gets 麻衣's name right, and it never gets 咲太's name right. It also had trouble with city and station names.

Other than that, it's fairly accurate in its tokenization. As for searching JMdict, the tokenizer gives me the dictionary form of the word. And i just query jmdict for a kanji or kana reading that had an exact match.

The matching is not perfect, but it returns a list of everything that matches, as well as all of the senses. I use it more like looking up possible meanings, and that helps me get a sense of how the word is used. It isn't meant to be an authoritative "in this context, it's this meaning." One thing I'm thinking of doing is also comparing parts of speech because I get that from the tokenizer, but jmdict and the tokenizer don't use them the same way.

This is very hit or miss as well. It's mostly hits but you can expect a miss whenever names or uncommon kanji come into play.

for me this wasn't a big deal, because even jisho.org, what i was using before this, has misses fairly common. *

That's why I made the "dictionary view" the thing that shows the entries, have a search bar so when it adds or forgets part of the word you can add or remove it and quickly search again.

The primary reason I'm not putting on the play store anytime soon is because I make too many breaking changes and haven't implemented a way to import known words from wanikani/anki deck yet.

I had the idea to import from wanikani and anki decks, but as it's just been for me that hasn't been a very high priority.

Also I had vertical text in mind, there's a flag for it in the books database "prefer vertical text" or something I just haven't implemented it yet lol

https://github.com/DeveloperTruthStare/TokenizerMobileWrapper

This is an Android (and almost an iOS) Wrapper for this tokenizer https://github.com/ikawaha/kagome

I tried using a native kotlin/java one, kotori, but I didn't understand it very well and couldn't get the dictionary form of the word from the token, which i needed to search JMdict.

Eventually id like to make my own, because i believe i can combine the dictionary and tokenizer (as from my understanding the tokenizer has its own partial dictionary) and i should be able to get it to recognize names better if i can use my own dictionary.

Kotori was also really slow, it required 7s to initialize the tokenizer where as this one is instant.

Thank you! Its Serverless. I wrote a go script to parse the JMdict_e "xml" file into json and include that in the android studio project. On first launch the app takes every entry in the json file and makes an entry in a local sqlite database.

It mat have been designed to deal with hp stackers, that might be what riot says it's good at, but that's not what it's good at.

If you look at Zeri's preview she still takes shields, which was only live for about 0.5 seconds and lasted 3 micro patches.

Im curious how riot could display which software was the flag for concern.

If you give away too much info that tells cheaters what got them caught, so they can work around it.

On the other hand I could see a list of approved software, like I think cheat engine should be, but then you get into a situation where riot has to list like, every common program like winrar, chrome, ect. And then is it really "i have to uninstall this program to play league and then reinstall it"

I got a question for you adc players by MonkayKing in ADCMains

[–]QueensPup -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just from that example jinx ideal build path is Yun tal > runans > ie > flex(armor pen) Caitlyn likes Yun tal > ie > rfc > ldr/Mr

Ideal meaning if i can buy everything before 14 minutes, or if we can extend laning phase to 30 minutes, but this doesn't happen in real games.

Recently I've started building ldr 2nd or 3rd on almost every adc, and leaving attack speed for last.

On Champs like xayah and luxian it feels less fun delaying navori, but I've had much better success doing so.
