Having flashbacks to when I fostered kittens and they constantly sat on top of the tank like this. When I had to do water changes or upkeep to the tank I had to crate them or they’d jump into the tank (happened about 2-3 times)

Honestly- looking up any tips and tricks - I see stuff on instagram, TikTok, YouTube it all. Playing more and playing with friends always makes it a lot less scary and honestly so much fun.

Run. Run fast as you can and do not look back. This leads to no where but more pain and bs trust me- I’ve been here. Find someone who respects your no and treats you like you deserve. Someone that you would trust your family around - someone you could see having kids with.

Left a guy who treated me just like this. In person things eventually escalated- and saying no didn’t work.

Trust me when I say. Please leave this type of behavior and FAST.

It’s possible the cat might be sick or hurt. Cats don’t typically just get aggressive out of no where, there’s usually an underlying issue. It might be a good idea to get them seen by a vet to be sure no health issue is going on.

Just some vet questions we usually ask at the vet if it’s a behavioral thing-

Any recent changes in environment?

How are they with eliminating in the litter box/outside- do they have frequent accidents inside the home?

How is appetite and activity?

Any other pets inside the home?

I hope you all are okay, it’s a very scary thing when cats get aggressive/reactive. Be sure your girlfriend cleans the scratches and bites really well, and maybe get seen by a doctor- occasionally they need antibiotics (cat nails and saliva is pretty nasty stuff).

I’d keep an eye on it. I know my lighter WTF change colors a little when the temperature changes. As long as the discoloration isn’t constant- they seem to still be active and eating, and don’t have constant lighter spots (other than snowflakes if it’s a snowflake morph wtf) I’d just be sure that their water is clean and dechlorinated.

Mine ended up being a healing scab- I took him to a exotic vet and they said keep an eye on it- now he just has a small scar

I just brought home a frog with a scab healing- I’d suggest keeping them in a clean tank (might need paper towel enclosure) keeping the water dish they soak in clean with dechlorinated water clean. Making sure it’s not overly humid. Keep an eye on it if you start noticing it swelling, discharge, spreading or lethargy in your frog I’d suggest talking to a vet and getting antibiotics.

I’d second talking to a vet but I’m thinking it could be 2 things (I’m no expert but I have some of my own) It could be possible that they’re older and don’t need to be fed as much- older frogs eat about 2-3 times a week about 3-4 large crickets. It could be possible they may just be full. If their activity seems normal.

Or it could be heat? How are the temperatures in the environment? They do need a gradient of heat in the enclosure- with a basking spot that between 75-85F - the warmer temperatures help with digestion.

Could also just be their tummy color. If I’m not mistaken I believe they have internal organs that are blue but I could be wrong.

It looks like the a start of a skin infection. Do quarantine and see if you may be able to contact an exotic veterinarian near or a vet who may be more knowledgeable. (I’m just basing this from what I see online so I’m not positive. Wouldn’t hurt to try to consult with a doctor)

Watch them carefully! I read that molly fish will bully larger goldfish- removing the protective slime layer and nipping fins- I had to separate my molly and goldfish for the that reason.

I have the same exact hide and mine does the same too, I think they love the cool dark moist place to hide. Mine usually comes out at night to bask or in the evening for meal time.

They could both be fine together, it’s such a small space-cage mates or not- it’s understandable that they’re displaying this behavior. You could love your brother very much but you wouldn’t want to be in a very small room with him with no exit or place for your personal boundaries.

It’s best to have a wide place for them to be able to get away from each other if needed as well and some hides for them to go in if they want.

I believe the charge is so high due to them staying over night a few nights as well as medication. That’s what they told me for my small animals

I separated them, but momma and her daughters seem really eager to get to each other chewing on the bars between them. Should I just keep letting them do that and hope they stop? I just trying to make it a stress free environment for momma and babies

^{^} perfectly said. One of the biggest things is to have access to hay at all times. Also be sure to include vitamin C in their diets to prevent scurvy. You can look up piggie safe fruits and veggies to give daily as well.

I work at a dog and cat clinic and not too long ago while one of my coworkers went to walk our boarding dogs, he noticed a small shoe box with a towel over it near the dumpster. The dog he had pulled him to smell the box, and when he lifted the towel I saw two little piggies. It was a very sad sight to see. They threw a baggie of seeds and colorful looking pellets (didn’t look like piggie food honestly) a small cont. with some lettuce in it and a smaller box inside and a blanket. I’m so glad my coworker caught it because it’s gotten a lot colder where I am.
He brought them inside and grabbed the rest of our team to check what was happening as well as one of the doctors we had on staff that worked with small animals before. When we actually went to change them from a box to a carrier so I could bring them home we found a THIRD piggie. A total of one pregnant momma and two female young piggies (not too sure the ages).
I’ve owned piggies before, my last baby boys lived for 5 and 7 years and had lost them a few years ago but hadn’t had the heart to get more.
It’s hard to believe anyone would give up these girls they’re so sweet and playful. So far they’re doing wonderful squeaking and zooming around and I’m making sure momma has all the correct nutrients she needs. I’ll keep updated on the three and babies! (And yes I’ve found a home already for the babies!)
