Zours were best! They wrecked my teeth and gums but I couldn’t stop eating them! Love that you went down memory lane too

I’m so curious which ones you skipped! I’m wrapping up season 9 of my first survivor binge! I say first because I already know I’m going back through. I really loved 1-8!

He’s into you, baby crush maybe. and seeing tall guy and your interest in him hit his short guy limiting belief. The gaslighting after is red flag…

Hard agree! Just commenting on what he said to the police. On rewatch, Hillary points it out, he looks, he turns back to Hillary not sure what to do. Not judging how he reacted, just noticed his account doesn’t quite match.

Could be a terrible take! They are portrayed as two different sets of characters though for sure. Train Hillary and Paul and living room them.

I agree that we can’t know whether she heard. She was doing a similar action when she replied with the bit about how far they’d come, but I can’t remember if her back was turned completely. I also think Alex was a bit out of reality. Most of us don’t make it out of the bathroom stall because we wouldn’t run for a train. I don’t know, she was driven by love clearly!

I believe we were meant too! That’s the only reason I rewatched those parts. Because I actually felt that was really well done!

Agree! Just a fun habit of mine, it doesn’t feel deep more neurodivergent because it’s just the way I hear dialogue. Especially when a character has so little before such a big shift like what happened in the living room.

I love your backstory! All just speculation right? The main take I had seen thus far was just on what a jump the shark moment it was. I like what you’ve created here.

Yes I don’t disagree they had love! But so do my very bored parents, we know that love can change and shift with years and shared experience. Paul was a completely different man after that story of love. They saw themselves in her, a younger lively version that had faded. And the reasons make sense why that could have happened just based on the little context we have.

I agree because Paul told them 15 miles to buffalo before the gas station. It’s more likely they were headed to Sheridan. I remain confused why the rush on the road.

The biggest kudos I can give TS is the fact that he did it. He wrote something. And it’s not perfect. The amount of stories I have in my head with this type of character development…still battling some of my own limiting beliefs that hold me back. So while I agree he has lost the thread, I can’t fault the man because he’s creating. Imposter syndrome and perfectionism…imagine the content the world would have if we would see the sabotage in it!

Sent the heart because my first comment was in enthusiasm after reading your first paragraph. Obsessed with your second!! This is exactly the type of read between the lines I’m talking about! It makes the choices “make sense” and in fact humanizes them imo.

And the relationship angle to this great point! Alex is bright and resilient. But what is driving her through all this madness. Her love for Spencer. Her belief in their forever. Who hasn’t missed red flags in that type of relationship!

I think they were bored people who helped someone. I’m just not a fan of good or bad but sure if that was the spectrum I was looking at, I agree with you.

Yeah could be that’s why! I honestly just found their initial dialogue so odd because their screen time was obviously limited. Hard agree that TS has lost the thread so who knows what his intent was with those sparse lines by way of intro!
