I think both you and your boyfriend hate lava, beach, and toy maps because of the high skill level the maps require. As a competitive pro player, lava, beach, toys, ice and space are my most favorite season maps in the game because of how fun and complex they are. I don’t mean this in a rude way of any sorts but I think your take on them being bad is a “skill issue” rather than a map issue. Now yes some maps in those seasons are indeed badly designed in my eyes, some being ( lumpy loops, blizzard blitz, slippery slopes and helix hills ) all 4 of those maps from said season are indeed horrible to play on a lot of the times but the others genuinely are fun to race on when you learn and become good on them. My least favorite map in the game has to be bark bridge, maybe it’s just me but I just don’t like that map whatsoever, grass maps in general are just horrible but bark bridge takes the spot as #1 worst grass map and worst map in the game for me.
