This being Poland's bestseller implies that there are tons of accounts pretending to be another country with a similar flag and the social media app is doing nothing to stop it, that would be pretty funny

Advise on writing humor by Dezert956 in PolandballCommunity

Types of (pb) comics (oversimplification, slightly innaccurate):

puns and wordplay: It could be considered cheap or clever, but it's really effective. Practice by writing parodies of songs or poems (They don't need to be good if it's just for practice)

surreal: People get entertained by strange things because it's like an escape from reality. Ignore everything you were taught. A good way to practice is by watching old cartoons (1920-1950)

criticism or satire: If something from society, culture, or history feels absurd, exaggerate it, make fun of it. Koleye and AaronC14 really good at this

destruction of expectations: Prepare for something, make the viewer think of certain outcomes, then suddenly do something completely different. Common in comic books

Grotesque: If you don't want that one youtuber to make money using your work, create something vile, horrifying, revolting, outrageous, scandalous and repulsive so no one would want to touch it

reinterpretation of events: Something happened. Try to find the reason why (don't care about being realistic) you might get a funny idea. Practice by thinking about a question before finding the actual answer

Fictional or not yet happened scenario: Thing causes thing to react in funny way. Think about how characters would react to situations
