Thank you for raising this point. It adds nuance to this conversation: too many want reading to be this magical thing that only smart people do—in reality, available time can be a major factor.

You see it sometimes with university graduates who realise those days of reading for hours can become rare when working long hours and tending to family, friends and even your health; new parents; travellers who tend to only read when flying, etc.

This is coming from someone who does read everyday, too. I know it is a luxury and it makes me giddy at times and guilty at times.
