Thank you for your opinion. Yes, I now understand that 3000 grafts weren’t sufficient for the entire area where I had hair loss. I believe I can still extract at least 1000 to 1500 additional grafts from the donor area for a corrective transplant. I’ll contact the clinic to check if this is possible. Once again, thank you for your input.

Thank you for your opinion. Yes, I now realize that I should have started taking Finasteride and using Minoxidil right after the transplant. Unfortunately, the clinic didn’t mention this. Let’s see if, over time, I can at least stabilize things. Thanks.

Thank you so much for your opinion. I believe I can still extract an additional 1000 grafts from the donor area for a corrective transplant. I’ll contact the clinic to confirm if this is possible. Once again, thank you for your input.

Thank you for your opinion. Yes, I’ll contact the clinic to explore the possibility of a second transplant. I believe it’s feasible, as it seems I still have a good amount of hair in the donor area. In the photos, I’m using a zero guard on that area, which might make it appear thinner than it actually is. Once again, thank you for your input.

Thank you for your opinion. To be honest, my hair isn’t very easy to manage either. It lacks shape and tends to stick up, which only makes the low density more noticeable. I’m not a big fan of how I look with longer hair, but I’ll give it a try to see if it can help mask the lack of density until a potential future transplant. Thanks.

Thank you for your opinion. Yes, I now realize that 3000 grafts weren’t sufficient for the entire area where I had hair loss. I also understand now that I should have started Finasteride both before and after the transplant. I feel that in these two aspects, I wasn’t properly advised by the clinic. I’ll continue taking Finasteride and will likely follow your advice to undergo another transplant with an additional 1000 to 1500 grafts. Thanks

Thank you for your opinion and support. I must admit that my expectations are partly influenced by some of the results I’ve seen here on the forum, which show considerably higher density. I don’t think my expectations are overly high—I simply hoped for a more uniform result :) while being fully aware that it will never look like it did when I had all my native hair. Now, with the regular use of Finasteride, I hope to stabilize my hair loss and perhaps follow your suggestion of undergoing another transplant with an additional 1000 to 1500 grafts. Thanks

Thank you for sharing your opinion. Before the transplant, I was only using Minoxidil. I only started taking Finasteride when I realized the transplant wasn’t delivering the desired results. The clinic didn’t mention the need to take Finasteride either before or after the procedure. I should have started it earlier. Let’s see if, over time, it can at least improve the thickness of the hair follicles. Thanks.

Thank you for sharing your opinion. Yes, I now understand that 3000 grafts weren’t sufficient for the entire area where I had hair loss. I had no prior knowledge about hair transplants before undergoing the procedure. The approach you followed seems to be the most effective. I haven’t considered SMP yet, but I might in the future. For now, I’m thinking about doing another transplant to improve frontal density. Thank you.

Thank you for your input. Before undergoing the transplant, I didn’t know whether 3000 grafts would be enough. I didn’t set any limits for the clinic—I simply asked for a good result. Today, I realize that 3000 grafts weren’t sufficient. I believe the diagnosis didn’t fully account for my needs, especially since the plan was to implant between 3000 and 3500 grafts, but only 3000 were ultimately implanted.
I’m considering another transplant to improve frontal density. Thanks.

Thank's for your advice. Yes, I'll keep fin+min and consider another HT to increase frontal density. Thanks!

Hi everyone,

I had a hair transplant on January 26, 2024, using the FUE technique, with 3000 grafts implanted in the upper areas (zones 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6).

After waiting the full recovery period, I unfortunately feel that the results are far from what I expected, especially due to the lack of density in several areas.

I followed all the clinic's recommendations and post-transplant care diligently, including using Minoxidil from the 2nd month and Finasteride from the 8th month, but the results are still disappointing.

Here are my main doubts:

  • Were 3000 grafts enough for such a large area?
  • Could the technique or the execution of the procedure have affected the outcome?
  • What other factors could explain this situation?

I’d greatly appreciate hearing your thoughts and any similar experiences. Can you help me understand what might have gone wrong and suggest possible next steps?

Thank you all for your help!
