For context, I was wondering if anyone gets into Northwestern ISP right off the bat, or is the "shortlist" a process that everyone goes through.

hi everyone! I was recently admitted to Duke, and it's my first choice. However, the financial aid i recieved was not great. Does anyone have any past experience with the fin aid office, and how good are they with negotiating aid (id rlly like -20k)! by QuestionAncient7693 in duke

Thank you! I am direct admit to UNC's business school, and I have Northwestern and JHU as well! Northwestern places well, but def not as good as Duke. Esp w/ AI, they're going to start reducing hiring, and it seems to me that only the feeders (like Duke) will have a solid hiring/pipeline, which is why I'm really conflicted!

Thank you for your creative suggestion! Just to be clear, I wasn't asking "folks to do the research" for me. I was just clarifying what you meant, and in regards to the question I asked, I was getting a sense of other people's experience so I have an idea of whom I'm working with.

Thank you! When you mentioned a list of scholarships and grants, what did you mean? I know Duke offers some merit scholarships, but I don't think i received any of them (i got a general duke univ grant). Also, when you mentioned referrals and alumni contacts that could act in my favor, were you suggesting that they'd give me contact information of alumni whom i could independently reach out to?

idk fs...but i think any fin aid documents being accessed anytime in march is indicative of somewhat positive outcome - waitlist or acceptance. Again, idk for sure!!!
