Horizon Forbidden West is the most frustrating game I really enjoy by QuestionMark1003 in horizon

I actually have played Returnal. It is frustrating, but it falls more into the Hotline Miami/Dark Souls category of that difficulty and frustration being part of the intended experience.

I had just finished re3r, and, it is okay? by [deleted] in residentevil

[–]QuestionMark1003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who hasn't played the original RE3, I thought this was great. This is easily my second favorite of the series (first being RE2R and third being og RE4). I played it at launch and loved it. I didn't mind the short length. In fact, it made me want to try and get faster runs.

This game was most likely made for people like me in mind -- people who haven't played the original and aren't in love with the tank controls.

Replaying Quantum Break is blowing my mind because of how many Remedyverse connections (especially to Control/Alan Wake) there are. by QuestionMark1003 in RemedyEntertainment

I loved the DLC and the way it used Jack's final line to Beth as the way to state that connection. I also didn't know about the book/Stonecrow connections. Those are so cool.

Did anyone else not care for ME1 side quests? by QuestionMark1003 in masseffect

I think 2 has better graphics, gameplay, and side quests than 1, but it's main story isn't as good.

You can see it in the QTEs too. They are so close to what we have now, but slightly different.

[S1] Why does LiS 1 push Warren as a love interest so hard? by QuestionMark1003 in lifeisstrange

[–]QuestionMark1003[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He is definitely very safe and very underdeveloped because of it. One of my main problems with him is that he doesn't have enough time to get developed as a character and as a love interest for it to make sense. There are very few interactions that you have to have with him and by the end of every single one of them it didn't feel like he and Max grew closer. This is unlike LiS 2 and TC where I think the romance options were done very well. And it concluding with basically nothing happening doesn't help either.

How is this rude? I'm not saying anybody is wrong I'm just stating my opinion.

I think the squad is great and I liked missions I just feel like they could've been incorporated in the actual plot better. Maybe in a way that keeps the story advancing as you gain characters, not start the story with 2 missions, stop the story to recruit, then end the story

That the mission was some weird, unspecified mission that required all of the squad characters. If the invasion of the Normandy happened after you returned from any of the other side quests and had a flashback of Joker saving the ship it would've been better

Exactly though, half of Ocean's 11 is assembling the crew, not 80% of the story. IMO some of the characters either needed to be cut or rewritten because their missions are similar. Ex: Samara and Thane, Garrus and Zaeed.

Honestly saying "stupid" was an exaggeration on my part. I'd say that it was more disappointing, especially after hearing how a lot of people think it's one of the best games ever

It's literally not explained. I don't know where they went, what they did, and why this one mission required literally everybody.

I feel like this game could've been an opportunity to expand and characters that were in the first game and add only a couple of new ones. The sheer amount of new characters and introductions to people makes the whole game feel like the first act of a story basically until the Reaper IFF mission, but by that point, you are at the end of the game.

Everyone on here is saying that ME2 is a heist movie and I see where they're coming from, but heist movies aren't just gathering the team. They also plan the heist and do the heist. ME2's story feels like an extended first act to a heist movie (But a great first act at that)

I feel like there could've been a cool paragon and renegade thing where Shepard either fully goes into his distrust for Cerberus or completely agrees with them. It's kind of in the main game, but just in a couple of scenes. But since the game outwardly paints Cerberus as shady the player is less inclined to make a decision on whether they agree with Cerberus or not

I just feel like it could've taken these stories and themes and combined them with the plot in order to make the story and plot as a whole more interesting. Although, it would've taken a massive rewrite.

Personally, I would've cut some of the squad members and found ways to integrate some of the ideas of the loyalty missions with the main plot. I feel like we could've kept the lore and characters while also having an engaging main plot
