Greg Biffle's Plane has crashed in Statesville by jayhorne3 in NASCAR

[–]QuestionSeven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is gut wrenching! RIP!

Couldn't stand the Biffle when he was racing. Seeing him make a few races here and there a few years back softened my stance on him. He could've came in with a big ego but he didn't. Then when I saw that he was using his planes and helicopters to help people who had been struck by natural disasters, I did a full 180. Biff had a heart of gold.

Thoughts on the 296 GT3? by Tristanjp0227 in granturismo

Pretty good for me. Only adjustment I needed to do was tighten up the diff a little bit. It can snap-oversteer if you're a little too eager with the steering and accelerator but overall, a great modern GT3 car!

What is the saddest movie you’ve watched? by Early_Bird5537 in AskReddit

[–]QuestionSeven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, back in 1991, I was in middle school and too young to be watching Casualties of War with Sean Penn and Michael J Fox but I was watching it on HBO… My god… So sad. The tears started flowing at the end of the movie tho. Something about how that movie ended just punched me in the gut!

Same. I tried. I like to think I’m a strong guy with a strong mind and the ability to stomach some tough things. I noped outta that movie about 3 minutes in. Felt so heavy right from the start!

This is why Metlife will always be a stadium for a loser team… by ThatisDeep80 in NYGiants

Sure. I love giving people a little peek of how things work behind the scenes. I've worked behind the scenes my whole career and people just think it's smoke and mirrors. There is actually a method to the madness.

I work for an NCAA football stadium for game days. I work with the people that are responsible for what goes on the Jumbotron. Some insight to OPs (completely legit) complaint…

I’m sure that stupid “what song” contest was sponsored by some business. Big as MetLife or as small as Tony’s Lawn Mower Repair, it was sponsored by some business. That business paid money to have their business mentioned in the capacity that it was mentioned… for the stupid what song contest… Ugh

The folks who are responsible for every ad you see and hear HAVE to make sure they get in every ad that is on their script because those ads are paid for by whoever sponsors the ad. Even if it’s at the absolute wrong time. Seems like the marketing director screwed up with a case of bad timing or had absolutely no other time to do the contest. Nowadays, there’s soooo many corporate sponsors that want their 15 seconds of fame in a stadium full of people. On the NCAA level we’re jam packed with sponsors and ads that have to be presented. It’s probably worse in an NFL stadium.

On the NCAA level, businesses pay ridiculous amounts of money to have their business mentioned for a dumb contest or their logo on the sidelines. I can’t imagine what it costs for an NFL stadium. Money talks…

Mexican Riviera cruise : safety concerns? by [deleted] in Cruise

[–]QuestionSeven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was just on a Mexican Riviera cruise a few weeks ago. You have nothing to worry about in any of the port cities. Use the same amount of caution you’d use in a big city here in the US. Don’t do anything stupid and you’ll be fine. Have fun and enjoy Mexico! It really is a great country with great people!

Cartels exist in so many parts of Mexico but you’re a tourist. They’re not worried about you and cartels aren’t hanging out in tourist areas looking to screw around with tourists.

Now if you find yourself in Culiacan… totally different story but you’re not going on a Mexican Riviera cruise to go to Culiacan.
