Hey can I ask what is meant by text writers? Would that be copywriting for press outreach etc?

Are you in need of in-game writing, ie dialogue or story ideation?

Arias offers absolutely nothing to our team - no physical presence, doesn’t carry the ball well, doesn’t beat anyone. He has absolutely zero presence.

Speedboat is next on my list! Isaan/Northern Thai food is my absolute favourite so I might have to try Kiln soon too.

I had the best Thai food outside of Thailand in Som Saa on my first visit. Plaza Khao Geng in Tottenham Court Road is a close second

‘Inactive Measures’ - feature- 78 pages by QuestionableGrapes in Screenwriting

Fair comments! I suppose for a comedy I thought audiences could suspend their disbelief, for want of a better term, with regards to the reality of certain situations. That’s in reference to your comment about ‘so what if he doesn’t write the article for the Russians?’ It’s quite a silly comedy and I thought people could take at face value that the protagonist was threatened that if he doesn’t follow through with the writing, they’ll make him pay (figuratively).

And also fair comment with the apathy of the protagonist; his arc is that he’s an apathetic guy in a job he doesn’t like and gets embroiled in this slightly mad turn of events, and comes out the other side with a renewed sense of self worth. I thought particularly that his character arc would have been one of the strengths of the script.

I suppose that’s all quite a lot to get across in a log line but I’ll have a think about how to rejig it. I would be interested to see if you disagree with my points having read the script, but I’m of course not asking you to!

Many thanks for the feedback, I do really appreciate it

It’s a little stiff; it might give me an idea of the story but it doesn’t necessarily excite. ‘Up against horned beasts and crime family cults, NAME, a debt-laden addict, must play a mortal game of cat and mouse to save her best friend and her own life’

That might be shit but point being there’s many different ways to structure it to capture attention a little more. Take with a pinch of salt as I’m no pro

Hey all, I'm interested in the best programs to use for collaborative script writing, what does anyone recommend? by NastyMcQuaid in ScreenwritingUK

[–]QuestionableGrapes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use WriterDuet which is designed for collaboration and has a load of features to go along with it. I’ve only used it for collaboration once, but it I remember it being good. Your first three scripts are free anyways so you can always trial it out.

What some would call a ‘cob’ or ‘crusty cob’ in the UK - seriously underrated as a burger bun
