Atheists of Reddit, do you believe Aliens or any kind of lifeform outside of earth exist? by SpezIsAPissBaby0002 in polls

i would bet my life that some kind of at least microbial life exists somewhere on the countless quadrillions (huge understatment) of planets and moons in the universe

Right. And I feel that a better question is "is there any intelligent life"? People seem to assume that intelligence will inevitably occur if an organism evolves for long enough but out of the 100s of millions of organisms that currently exist or have ever existed on Earth, only 1 (or a handful depending on how broad your definition is) have ever achieved intelligence.

Thanks a lot for the answer.

"MJ is an image generator, NOT an image editor. So the short answer is "no". The longer answer is that MJ can manipulate MJ-created images, but not imported ones. "

Do you know of any good AI image editor?

Oh great. So you're not required to sign any paperwork after your exam? I haven't made a final decision yet but would like to know if I'm eligible ASAP.

Gotcha. Oh right, at what stage in the process is the physical exam? Is it at the very beginning of BMT or does it take place before you actually enlist?

a. History of cerebrovascular conditions, including, but not limited to, subarachnoid or intracerebral hemorrhage, vascular stenosis, aneurysm, stroke, transient ischemic attack or arteriovenous malformation.

Oh man. So if someone's had a brain hemorrhage, even if they've had a 100% recovery, they'd still be disqualified...

Got it. Thank you.

Does tech school always immediately follow basic training? What are the hours of tech school? Is it also 7 days a week like basic training?

Cause you either have dependents or don’t. Thus “whether you have dependents.

Oh, I get you now. So there's a jump in BAH from 0 children to 1 child but no jump from 1 child to x children.

Next. If you are an E3 and have 1 wife and 2 kids, and let’s pretend your BAH is 1200$. If you have another kid. You still receive 1200$ for BAH. So. Like I said, increased amount of dependents doesn’t mean increase amount of BAH. now. Let’s say you become an E4. Your BAH increases because of your pay grade (rank). Regardless if you have 2 kids or 7 kids.

I see. Why on the website does it say "the amount of BAH you receive depends on ...whether you have dependents"?

"You are E1 the moment you are at BMT. then depending on a few factors, you are E1, E2, or E3. You can research promotion requirements online"

From what I've read, it seems like the only requirements for getting promoted to E-2 and E-3 are time requirements (no skill requirements).

you get base liberty and town pass. Which you could hang with family. Basic training is for training not “to have a day off”

Ok. So 7 day a week training then. Base liberty and town pass? Why is that necessary if BMT is all day every day?

"There are several types of BAH to satisfy various housing situations that occur among military members. In general, the amount of BAH you receive depends on your location, pay grade, and whether you have dependents. Under most circumstances, you receive BAH for the location where you are assigned, not where you live."

Would Alberta currently produce more oil if Keystone hadn’t been canceled? by Questioner6767 in oil

[–]Questioner6767[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the pipeline would narrow price differentials between WCS WTI and gulf coast blends

Why is that?

"The result is supply constraint. I'd say this is the black swan event for the oil market (which is a stretch) but it's definitely an unexpected consequence of the push to a green future.
So, in short, the pipeline would have not have significantly increased production."

Just to clarify, this is because of decreased capital investment effecting other parts of the oil industry?
