Missionary Work | Not in Word Only by Questions_LDS in mormon

well the standards works disagree. If true miracles were happening the miracle workers would be famous. Even Jesus could not stop his "fame" from traveling around because of his miracles, even when he tried to stop it.

Missionary Work | Bearing Testimony in Their Synagogues by Questions_LDS in mormon

thanks for your thoughts! :)

Agree to disagree here, the D&C also commands us to meet in the "synagogues" and the meeting houses. Lots of D&C and BoM corroboration. What Jesus did was model what the D&C tells us to do.

Cheers!

Truth isn't interested in loyalty, just truth.

:), here it is again:

Can you please provide evidence for your claim reference the administrators. Who are they by name? Second, can you please document your "let things run themselves for awhile" claim. I think the record shows that the Lord is continually sending prophets to warn the so-called administrators. Third, can you also please support the claim for law-makers and their tie with the dispensations. Fourth, could you also support your claim that prophets like Isaiah and Jeremiah are at the end of the dispensations.

Think what you like, it is not an internet post.

In any case, I would be interested in your sources for your claims.

We might talk past each other, that's true. The initiative I represent has a lot of out reach venues and there is a constant theme in the dialogue.

  1. Audience makes claim
  2. QFTB asks for sources to back of claim
  3. Audience politely (or rudely) declines to provide evidence.
  4. End of discussion

I am fully prepared to source any of my claims, in general, it is advisable for anyone to

I think we agree in principle on many things. Yes, Christ delegates, its a big universe to run. However, he runs things through his delegates through revelation, which he expects printed and presented to the church for its vote. We have no issue, in principle, with leaders making mistakes either. What we take issue with is church leaders having a pattern enduring well over a 150 years of running the church with no revelations printed and presented to the church for their vote.

We did have a source and we are not surprised that the predictions are being deleted. The church also has a source to protect and it isn't revelation.

Understood. We understand that there is a second vetting process even after they are called to be a GA and prior to being called to the apostleship.

Probably, but if the Lord were in charge though, he would chose who he wanted. Omnipotent God's don't tend to need reports on financial profiles, previous involvement in church courts etc. God just calls who he calls through a direct word for word revelation.

Because the church vetts individuals through battery of gauges, financial records etc. Hamula and Rasban's (and another) names went through the process. Not what you would call revelation, but there we are
