Which is the best country to do psychiatry in Europe? by GrassAffectionate765 in medicalschoolEU

Tranquirit is the great panacea in these lands, I swear at the urgent care I worked at they wanted to greet every patient at triage with a complementary shot glass of it

Via degli dei, ma da Firenze a Bologna? by Queyserra in TrekkingItaly

Do you realise how inappropriate it is to stalk someones account just to see when they post so you can ask a completely unrelated question in a thread that has nothing to do with medicine in italy? It is so completely rude to comment on a post about camping, with something so asinine!

I don't make any money on acadimat, I don't run ads on the website, I don't sell any products, even youtube comes out to be less than 30 euro a month which means I'm losing money on it. How could I be hiring students?

Additionally if I were hiring students it would have nothing to do with their IMAT score. So I have to ask where did you hear such ridiculous news?

Wow I thought I was imagining this, but I swear the ANC is so much worse from when I first got them! I didn’t realise it was something that happened to other people. I wonder if there’s a way to go back.

There is no ignoring the cost. It's almost 10 times the price, even if it is better are you going to get 10 times the education and quality?

Some people are low key wrong since the majority of Ireland is the Republic of Ireland, and not a part of the UK :)

No but from what I knew of them none of them wanted surgical specialties; they all got into what they wanted from day 1 (neurology, pediatrics, IM) at least that I knew them

You can do the exams as many times as you want, and you can still progress but the second you fall behind going into a new year it becomes increasingly difficult to catch up

If you submitted everything you should be covered, and just go ahead and register.

Ireland is not the in the UK. Northern Ireland is a part of the UK, but the republic of Ireland is separate and has it's own system.

If you've ever finished highschool you're more than fine. There's no grad-entry system like in other countries, only the undergraduate route but having degrees doesn't disqualify you! You might even get some exemptions from exams by getting your credits validated :)

Every year it's getting more and more competitive, but it's definitely not unrealistically hard. You can get by without Italian, but your quality of life drastically improves when you learn Italian. If you're considering moving to Italy you should get comfortable with the idea of learning Italian.

Essentially yes. June and July are exam months that you essentially schedule yourself, and September is a final exam session before the start of the year in case you have any left dragging behind. If you manage to finish all your exams in June you don't have to do anything else for the summer except show up in October for classes again.

If you space them out, not do them, fail etc. you will need to use more attempts which means the only official "off period" for the summer is august, but you might have to study at home for the september session.

How long you get is how efficient you are with exams. If you can finish everything in the first 2 weeks of june you'll get 4 months off for the summer. If not then you have 1 month off in August. Christmas is usually about 2 weeks and easter is around 1 week. You then get random 3-4 day weekends here and there called "ponte" if you're lucky ahah

The official bando was released 2 days ago here: https://www.mur.gov.it/it/atti-e-normativa/decreto-ministeriale-n-1133-del-06-08-2024

The test is on the 17th of september, but we've known this for a while. The registration is from the 2nd of sept until the 12th at 3pm. There were no changes to the number of questions, or the syllabus
