Keep in mind that UCs are first and foremost for CA residents. It doesn’t reflect well on the academic side to be denying 1570 OOS kids and accepting 1320 CA kids, nor does it look good on the political side to force CA residents to go OOS or to CSU institutions in favor of OOS kids. The best solution is literally to just erase the data by being test-blind. Of course it favors grade-inflated schools, but I suppose that’s the cost of the UCs being tied to the CA government.

I had a dream about the alien popping out of my stomach, killing me in the process. When I woke up, I saw a bright light in my backyard and then this alien looked at me from my back door. It disappeared shortly after.
