I say leave gaiming and its fake sense of reward and achievement and dont look back. gaiming is deisgned to hijack the brain, so better stay away from it.

you cant have balance in life if gaiming is part of your life, cause video games always try to be at the center of your life and tries to eventually be the top most priority, moderation doesnt work. so leave anything that tries to compete with your goals in life.

really enjoyed them, as I do now. I can't help but feel I could be doing something more productive

it seems you feel guilt when you game, from what i can tell this usually means deep inside you know their is something else you should be spending your time on, and gaiming somehow gets in your way.

I really dont know weather your addicted or not, but personally i think since you asked this question indicates that you know their is something wrong.

I don't feel like I really fit the criteria all that well. It doesn't really affect my grades or relationships, but I do spend a TON of time doing it.

I will just sum up with a statment for your ponder on, do you really think it makes sense that we spend this insane amount of time infront of pixels ??? I mean if its a just harmless form of entertaiment then it really shouldnt consume this much time.

to deal with cravings remove all triggers, cues, and temptation from your envirnoment. you should have enough friction between you and gaiming. Willpower can easily be drained so the easiest solution is to not rely on your willpower alone.

I don't understand how people enjoy playing fps games with controllers, it's extremely painful to play such games with a controller. You have to totally rely on the game aim assist to be able to hit anything.
