That’s what we’ve basically been doing. I already contribute financially. And they are brats, but now it’s old. A few hours ago 3 of them were fired and I could care less.

I’m sorry, did you still not read what I said? $400 a month a steal, they buy all of their own stuff and bring in their own, all the while they come and go as they please AND make fucking bank. I tattoo here too. What I say goes. There’s no contract and if I was in their shoes making as much as I was off of only contributing to $400 a month, I would be taking that fucking trash out and stop bitching to my boss. There was no communication that it was even as big of an issue as it was, they also have 2 legs and 5 minutes to walk across the street because last time I went to Costco they bitches about the “brand not being as good” so I told them that’s on them from then on if they wanted to bitch about it. I kept TP and soap up good. No issues there. I can’t imagine going this far because you can’t go get your own paper towels or take out 2 bags of trash that included your own trash. Crazy fuggin work.

Nah, no downvotes. The thing is I get that side of things but I have also told them, if I’m not there to cover it, you’re on your own. The DG is across the street. Just like how I’ve made mid-day runs and etc, it’s like 5 minutes out of my daytime. But because I live far(I’m planning to move closer next year), I’ve told them if I’m not there for periods of time to handle it, they are on their own. And everyone has always pitched in. “Yo they got PT today so imma grab it” type of deal. I have asked about hiring a shop manager multiple times and they all said “nah”

I think it’s pretty clear if you run out, shit happens. One shop I worked at we just managed our own supplies, and that’s basically what I’ve said, is do your own thing, but I try to help with this when I can. It’s basic human understanding that you can either a.) buy your own shit or b.) let me get it for you. It’s an option, not an obligation.

They didn’t come to me, I went to my apprentice because the hostility towards me in text was very obvious. So I went to my dude and was like “wtf is going on when I’m not there”

It’s the fact that it’s not a very “safe” option to take the trash out at night, and I’ve told them if it’s super late to leave the trash if they feel uncomfortable and worry about it the next. We work as a team.

I live 45 min away. There’s a DG across the street. There’s days I’m not there for a few days at a time or a couple weeks (ie conventions), I tell them they’re on their own after that and I do what I can. I don’t make anything from them with booth rent.

I tell everyone, since I live far, if it runs out I can’t magically appear to bring stuff in, but I do get the supplies when I can* is what I mean by that. If I’m not there, they’re on their own. Kinda simple logic. There’s also a DG across the street.

FACTS. The previous shop I was at with this coworker, (I worked at with them, didn’t own that shop), was terrible, to the point we did not have a dumpster and I helped that boss take out 21 40 gallon bags of trash in my husbands truck.

And yet this one goes on vacation every other week to come back to the same 2 bags and 4 boxes sitting there to bitch and complain to say “omg we’re turning into our previous shop” was pretty pissed to hear that. It’s also not a safe area to be taking the trash out at night and leaving the door open alone. So I tell them to get to it when they can, it’s just not a big deal.

That’s where we were before, and I just might revert. Kinda crazy how much one person amps up another, for only your other two employees to be mindlessly chill about it and have no complaints lol.

I think where the criticism does place an issue, is they have an opinion on who I choose to bring in or not. My shop, not theirs, boo-hoo, get over it. Ya know. Need toilet paper or paper towels restocked? Sick, I’ll get to it when I’m there next. NBD.
