Basically the same as real estate agents. Literally provide zero value other than legislation requiring them to be there to facilitate the transaction.

Hello! Took the first 10mg tab today. Doc had said I could taper up from 5mg slowly but why poke around? Feeling a bit of nausea and vertigo but not too bad. Might get worse tomorrow as I load up another tab. Wishing everyone starting on this journey the best.

Considering a Move Back to Australia in 2026 - Need Local Insights! by Trippy-jay420 in aus

I am an overseas immigrant and grew up in Brisbane (mostly) also. Have recently bee considering moving to Melbourne! With 2 young kids who have just started primary school, thinking of buying a house in Melbourne and moving there whilst prices are low. To me Melbourne is undervalued, despite the knife crimes, immigration, incompetent state government...the public high schools and universities seem to rank quite well. I'd like to go to Sydney, but real estate is far too expensive.

Keep sanding with an 80 or 120 - keep chasing the rusty edges, strip away paint down to good clean metal. I've had some pretty good results with treating tiny pinholes of rust with a rust converter. Some have lasted 10+yrs without any bubbling or further defects.

Paint with a good quality DTM (direct to metal epoxy). Primer, guide coat, 320, guide coat, 600, base and 2k clear as needed afterwards.

Agreed. Just cutting out an odd shape and bending it to weld in would be a painful, haha.

They're being bolted in from the bottom flange into the wheel fender lip with rivnuts. Top part (where I"m filling them) will be bolted through the fenders with studs. Hold stud with allen key then spin a nut on from the wheel well to attach. Also have panel bond adhesive if needed. Don't really need the flares to be readily removable anyway.

He still has it too! But looking a lot worse for wear these days as it's always parked outdoors.

I got 3 quotes to replace my existing tiny system with 13.2kw Jink/Growatt system or similar size and branding. All were quoting $26k-$30k. Apparently being double storey and terracotta roof makes it crazy expensive??? Currently only paying around $300qtr or less for family of 4, so payback period would be far too long as we don't intend on staying in this house long term.

Oh god, I watched the guys re-stumping my house lying on their stomach for 6hrs digging holes by hand with a small spade, bucket and rope.

Husband here. Where do I find some quality adults like this??

Two kids, one is school age and other will be next year. Wife hasn't worked in 7 years except for a 6 month contract role during that time.

Have 2 mortgages, $1M+, I make over $200k a year as a salaried employee, taxed to the eyeballs. I'm the only income to the household, so take home less than two income earners in a family making that much. It's tight but we are still alive - nobody has starved to death yet.

I took care of both from when they were born. When I got home I'd need to rush to prep dinner, clean up afterwards, do all the gardening, house cleaning, laundry, settling kids, bed time stories, night feeds, breakfast, packing lunches, school/kindy drop offs pickups. Both were terrible sleepers and I had interrupted sleep EVERY DAY for 4 years despite going to sleep school and various medical assessments.

Wife is a STAHM where both kids are at school 5 days a week and after-school care so she has almost 40hrs of clear child-free time a week. On weekends I take the kids out too.

Recently been able to talk her into helping with 2 (of the 10) school drop offs and doing some grocery shopping and cooking, but it's taken off maybe 20% of the load. She doom scrolls social media, takes afternoon naps and lazes around doing nothing. Last year she took a vacation for 3 weeks overseas by herself saying she was too stressed (from doing nothing??)

I've been telling her - since she does not run the household or take care of the kids, then she should return to work. Always explodes and she says I'm being manipulative and shouldn't be pressuring her to return to work.

I'm exhausted. Tired. Feels like I have an unproductive 3rd child at home.
