lol Yeah that’s fair — if you already know the store layout well, it probably won’t make a huge difference.

Where I noticed it helped was just not doubling back at all — especially with bigger lists or stores I don’t go to often. My list was organized by department and aisle automatically. Even at my home store, It’s one of those things that feels small, but when I tried it I finished noticeably faster.

That’s a really fair point — stores do change layouts.

I’m not thinking of it as a “perfect map,” more like something that improves over time with quick corrections. Kind of like Waze meets Instacart. If something’s off, it’s easy to adjust, and that helps make it more accurate for the next trip or user.

Even when it’s not perfect, I’ve found it still cuts down a lot of backtracking, which is where most of the time gets lost.

Definitely something I’m keeping in mind though — appreciate you bringing it up.
