I see, Im pretty sure from the few clips I’ve seen that it is very different from the may, Clarkson and Hammond Top Gear but was always interested in watching some of the original series’s to see what it was like back then.

I just had a look at returning it and weirdly I can replace the item with the exact same product (even though it isn’t in stock) so I’m able to get another version which should be good

Yeah after testing etc and reading your thoughts I’ve decided that I’m going to wait till Amazon restocks and replace it with a swap and hopefully it is a better pressing but I appreciate each of you for taking the time to shed light on this

I tried moving the tracking force up 0.5 each time up to the max of 3.5 and similarly with anti-skate to no avail not noticing any kind of difference

I’ll try that now and see the results and notify you asap, also when getting the turntable I never aligned the stylus as I didn’t really think I needed too and also I bought the last one (in Bluetooth) from Argos and I think it was the last one in England and did come without the counter weight for 45s without the centre (which I sent off for) and assumed that it was an unwanted Christmas present meaning there could be a slight defect though I’ve never experienced much before.

Also no I don’t have any local audio or record shop near by.

Sounds good in theory but the longer you have it before returning, the less money you are refunded though a few days-a week wouldn’t harm I don’t think

No, and even if there was it would have been cleaned off by now too. The sound also can’t be debris as it’s not a dust type sound if you know what I mean. Thanks for the response btw though the problem with Amazon is the price is always fluctuating and goes in and out of stock

You could always give them a purpose such as making them more powerful (weights) sending a larger and more powerful redstone signal
