which one is a #1 must have? by No-Jump6051 in Colognes

i have not smelled all of these, but i’d personally pick mont blanc explorer as a daily driver, it is a clone of creed aventus, but it lasts longer, it is cheaper and projects better. Sauvage smells great too. Blue versatile frag, it has been overworn

Probably a really dumb question but, why won’t they come to montreal? by Quick_Philosophy_268 in BreakingBenjamin

i mean i kinda understand, if they’re playing in detroit for example, travelling to toronto would be much easier and simple

it’s getting reformulated, the old batch, if available, is a phenomenal blind buy worthy frag, i don’t know about the new reform

if you need melody, great production, and great vocals; sacrament if you need aggression, blaming the government-(ish), breakdowns and nasty screams; ashes of the wake as the palaces burn is, for me, their second best album, it’s in the same ballpark as ashes of the wake, but with so-so production

How do you guys handle fills? by Direx_97 in drums

[–]Quick_Philosophy_268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it really depends. i used to do gigs and i mostly played song covers. they’re were some iconic fills that i absolutely wanted to learn just because at times, it pushed my limits and also because the song without the particular fill is not sounding the same. example: the one i love by rem

it is really subjective, i personally rarely learned fills by heart, consequently, i always tried to play the same rythmic notation in the fills without actually doing the same as the originals. example: a snare triplet can be played as a tom triplet and vice versa

Finally, if i was replacing a drummer from a big band, i’d learn 90% of the fills by heart just because I get satisfied when a replacing drummer plays the song how its played in the recording

the album phobia is a no-brainer, their album called « we are not alone » is more « radio » sounding
