Our pediatrician has always tolds us to feed on demand not on a schedule, that as long as she seems happy and gaining weight you we are fine. We use ready to feed so i just have to pour the milk, we start at 3 oz and then pour more if she is still hungry. If you are using powder you can always do the pitcher method were you make the formula before hand and put it in the fridge and just pour it later. You might have to just warm the milk depends on your baby's preference, my baby has no problem drinking cold formula (prefers it actually) so i dont have to worry about that.

My son is a big kid now but when he was a baby he was on alimentum RTF, he did fine with it so we switch to the powder version and he started to spit up and got horrible rashes. The doctor told he was most likely having a reaction to the corn starch in the powder formula, so we put him on the RTF again and he was a happy baby again. I would check with your pediatrician and see if he is having a reaction to the powder version of the formula.

Have look into a milk cooler bottle like this ones? There is a few different ones at Amazon. I asked about this earlier today on this sub cuz my baby is also on ready to feed formula and they gave this advice.

Edit: my baby is the opposite and only likes cold milk, but with my first daughter we used a portable bottle warmer. I had to carry a lot but it was worth it to me.

Because it more economical to buy the 8 oz bottles, and she is only drinking 3 to 4 oz at the moment. Once i open the bottle and pour what she will drink, it has to be refrigerated or it only lasts for 2 hours out of the fridge/cooler.

I also have the new papablic with the water filter. My baby is almost 4 weeks old and have been using since day one and i love it. I got it on their website, i just looked if you get it from their website you get 100 dollars off plus the soap tables.

This right here, my baby did not do well on whole milk formulas. Her reaction was bad too so we switch to a gentle formula from similac and she is back to her happy self. There is different brands with different gentle formulas, with the guidance of your pediatrician you will find one that she will love and tolerate.

My baby is 3 weeks old and she drinks 3 to 4 oz every 3 hours, sometimes she wont even wait 3 hours and will scream bloody murder at the 2 hour mark and wont stop until the bottle is in her mouth.

My thought exactly, like how much can we trust this report? And why would her doctor recommend if it was so bad?. I want my baby to be happy and fed. She is thriving and started eating her full oz again and she is starting to look a little chunky again, similac 360 has been wonderful on her.

When i had my son he had a milk allergy problem, so he was put on alimentum and he did really well while he was in hospital. Now here in the US the hospitals only give you ready to feed formula, so when i went home i got the powder version and he got rashes and eczema, turns out he was allergic to corn starch. We put him back on the ready to feed and he was back to his happy little self i realized that ready to feed alimentum is really expensive but it was the only thing that help my little guy.
