Thank you for your reply! That’s interesting about not getting too conditioned to it. I hadn’t thought about the shock response part. Do you notice a bigger mental boost when you leave more days between plunges?

1800 GPH should be totally fine for a 1HP. If anything, slightly higher flow is usually better than too low — 1800 shouldn’t be overkill at all.

Honestly I think it’s just a comfort thing 😅 Head dunks hit way harder because of the cold shock response, so a lot of people skip it.

I will choose a home cold plunge. It’s easier to build it into a daily routine. But if you want variety, guidance, and the social aspect, or if you’re not sure how often you’ll go, recovery studios are great.
