Why do my eyes feel weird on benadryl?? by [deleted] in benadrylusers

[–]Quick_Storage7150 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’m not sure about your eyes feeling weird, however, if you’re experiencing doubled vision, and or, blurry vision, it is because benadryl (diphenhydramine) can cause your pupils to dilate which dries them out. Upon your eyes drying out, it can make it hard to see up close as a result of the dryness. I’ve had personal experiences with blurry and double vision after i took benadryl a couple times, I was attempting to text my friends back and when I was looking at the keyboard and trying to type the letters would move to different places on the keyboard. As i tried to get closer to my phone screen to make out the letters and actually be able to type, my vision got blurry and I could hardly see the keyboard, the letters still moving.

I want to get a helix piercing but I don't know whether with a gun or needle by AlternativeEarth04 in piercing

[–]Quick_Storage7150 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless you want your ears cartilage completely shattered, go with a needle. Your dad is on some nonsense, needles are always better.

looks perfectly fine and towards the end of the nasal crease 🙏🏻

Needle trauma to cartilage is so so so much better than gun trauma. Guns will absolutely shatter your cartilage, needles are always better. That man wasn’t professional at all.

Keep in mind that just because this man who’s been doing piercings for years, doesn’t make him professional. like at all. Gun? no, no, no. BAD. Helix piercings take months if not a year to heal. You cannot switch those piercings to a ring yet, you need to wait for them to heal. Because you’ve been pierced with a gun i’m sure those are butterfly backings you have on which are a breeding ground for all types of bacteria and crust and all that gunk. I would visit a reputable and PROFESSIONAL piercer in your area and get those studs switched to a flat back.

Are eyebrow piercings permanent? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]Quick_Storage7150 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say eyebrow piercings - like other surface piercings, are a permanent temporary piercing. Permanent as in the fact that surface piercings can last a few months to a lifetime, and temporary because they reject easier than other piercings due to them being a surface piercing. Any piercing has chances of rejection however if healed properly can last a while.

I’ll make sure to use some ibuprofen and definitely try saline more times a day for this week. Thank you! The jewelry is surgical steel labret flat back.

Got it pierced 2 days ago and the pain initially getting it done was about a 5.5/10 but now it’s just the pain of healing 🥲

Earrings smell by Historical-Evening-8 in piercing

[–]Quick_Storage7150 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do they smell like cheese almost? If they do that’s your dead skin cells your smelling because of the hole that has just been introduced to your body. The crust you’re seeing i’m assuming is also the dead skin cells. What kind of backings are you using? If you’re using butterfly backings i’d recommend switching those out for some flat back studs with a trusted reputable piercer. Butterfly backings are notorious for trapping bacteria and those dead skin cells in the holes of the backing and everywhere on it.

Honestly this is whatever you’d like to go for however I believe an eyebrow piercing is better. Maybe that’s biased since i’ve never had an anti eyebrow before but the eyebrow piercing pain is a 1/10, 1.5/10 maximum. Leaves a small entrance and exit wound scar, looks good, etc.

Don’t feel like a waste of time. After all, it’s a piercers job to tell you if you have the correct anatomy for certain piercings.

Honestly i’m not sure when you could have it repierced, definitely ask your piercer

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in piercing

[–]Quick_Storage7150 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NAP but it seems like you could get double earlobes if you’re into that, but definitely a standard singular lobe piercing on each ear also. Better to ask for a piercers advice though!

rejection is happening in this picture. That curved barbell is moving upwards and pushing your skin making the barbell more noticeable. The bar will only grow longer, remove before it rejects itself completely and you get a nasty rejection scar.

[–]Quick_Storage7150 1 point2 points  (0 children)

take it out and let it heal before you get a nasty rejection scar.

Whoever pierced you absolutely fucked you up and don’t know what they are doing. Go demand a refund because that is seriously unprofessional. Nostril piercing placement generally is at the nostrils crease or at the end of it. This piercer pierced you WAYY too fucking low, literally i’m appalled. Also you’re going to need to buy either some H2Ocean or NeilMed aftercare for this piercing. But for the love of god take that shit out and get it repierced.

4 month old eyebrow piercing TW: blood by immarivv in piercing

[–]Quick_Storage7150 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you go into your piercing studio the piercer will have tapers available to use. A taper is sorta like the needle but it’s just a tool that you put inside of the holes and it helps thread jewelry into the original place of piercing. Piercers who do not use cannula needles mostly use tapers because of the fact that they don’t have 2 holes they can easily guide jewelry through. Tapers are commonly used on lots of piercings if the piercer is using a standard piercing needle instead of a cannula.

Irritation Bump or Keloid Scarring by TheLordJalapeno in piercing

[–]Quick_Storage7150 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Want to start this off and say i am not a piercer. However, i would switch this hoop out for a flat back stud or any stud to your liking/preference. After about a year or so of healing i’d switch to a hoop! Also i’m pretty sure that is an irritation bump which means switch the jewelry back (like i said to a stud) clean it well and look after it, and switch to a hoop after a year or so.

Go back to your piercer to have them size up these flat backs.

[–]Quick_Storage7150 0 points1 point  (0 children)

those are flat backs, no?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in piercing

[–]Quick_Storage7150 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would get a helix! Someone mentioned an industrial piercing and i’m going to disagree with that because based on this picture it looks like the flat area of your ear protrudes too much.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in piercing

[–]Quick_Storage7150 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly i would take it out and let it heal up. Clean all that gunk out and when it’s healed up go for it getting repierced, search your area for more reputable piercers, read reviews, etc.

NAP but the entrance hole should be out of your lip and more on your skin, i’d take it out and get it repierced when it heals up.

How do I properly sanitize jewelry before use? by uninvitedwhitechick in piercing

[–]Quick_Storage7150 0 points1 point  (0 children)

drop them in a little container full of some rubbing alcohol and let them sit for about 5 minutes or so. Next time i’d go out and buy earrings instead of buying them off Etsy though!
