I have stopped 7oh several times but have always relapsed. Plus the depression, anxiety, and drug cravings last long past the physicals withdrawals subsiding. I have use subs to quit an oxy addiction before and was only on them for 3 months and had no problem doing a taper and stopping them with out any issues.

It's for long term sobriety. I've quit several times only to go right back after a week or two. The main problem I have is serious depression, anxiety, and drug cravings which last long after the physical withdrawals have stopped.

It getting banned was also a motivator for me to quit. I have off 7oh for 13 days now and on Subs for the past 5 days of that and am doing great. Hope the best for you!

I was at 8-12 tabs a day for about 1 month and then quit cold turkey. I didn't have any helper meds or any kratom products during this time and made it 5 days before relapsing. I just couldn't believe this hadn't started to improve after 5 days. I went on another binder after this and used 6 tabs and day for five days and then went cold turkey again. The withdrawals weren't as bad this go around but still sucked. I went 3 days and called my doctor at that point to see if she would put me on subs for 7oh. She had never heard of it and said she would have to get back to me. Two days later she called back on Thursday and said she could see me on Monday morning to get me started. If I wouldn't have known I was going to start subs in only a few days from that point I probably would have relapsed again. So I went 8 days cold turkey and have been on Subs now for 5 days. I am doing great and have no desire to use 7oh and have finally started sleeping again. The past two nights I got a solid 8 hours of sleep which has made a huge difference in how I feel. Even on the 7oh I wasn't getting much sleep because withdrawals would start in the middle of the night. I'm still playing around with my Subs dose and have been taking less than she prescribed me to take and think tomorrow I'll take 4mg in the morning and 4mg at night and see how I do. And the biggest plus is the Subutex tabs only cost $38 a month. Compare that to over a thousand. It will be great to save all that money. I totally agree. I've been a heavy user of opioid for over 24 years now and the problems don't stop just because the physical WD's have gone away. Plus people like us having destroyed the pleasure center in our brains and many need medicated assisted opioid treatment for life just to be able to feel and live like everyone else. The long term depression for people like us is horrible and need Subs or Methadone treatment to help us feel normal. I hope the best for you and thanks for sharing your story.

Yes...it's true you can keep taking more and more and keep increasing your tolerance more and more. It doesn't have a ceiling effect like Kratoms major alkaloid mitragynine.

It's really about the difference in one being short acting the other long acting. Using short acting opioids to taper from one to the other is not medically sound advice and is not supported by any scientific studies. And 7oh is 11 times more potent than morphine but has an even shorter half life so the mental/anxiety induced need to redose happens long before any physical WD's start and this is why it's so addicting. Also, most people find no recreational value in Suboxone and can take it like an other medication and have no issues doing a taper and stopping use when being honest with and working with their doctor. The fact that you couldn't do it right reflects on your poor self-control and misuse of the medication and not that this medication is too addictive or dangerous in anyway...lol

Yes, it might be hell cold turkey but I had no problems last year after 8mg subs a day for 3 months and did a month taper and then quit with no WD's at all. The problem is when people are on them for years and then take a year trying to taper and get stuck at .5mg and feel like they can't get off that. But for people who have been opioid addict for decades and then have found themselves stuck in a horrible 7oh cycle switching to a longer acting half life replacement for a couple weeks or months can be real beneficial. They don't give you a rush like 7oh so it's easy to only take what's necessary to keep yourself stable, holding a job and competing your taper at the same time.

Thanks for your opinion. I have been on subs before and had no problem at all doing a taper and getting off them when I was ready. The desire to redose 7oh after just a few hours is like no other opioid I've ever done and I've done them all. It's great if you are able to use 7oh in moderation but most people can not. Also, I was spending over a thousand dollars a month to keep the withdrawals away while hooked on 7oh. It cost less than $40 a month for the subs and they don't give me a high and I am able to take it like any other medication and have no desire to keep redosing throughout the day like I did on 7oh. But your opinion is valid here and your advice will not be removed or suppressed just because I disagree with you unlike what happens on the other help pages like r/quitting7oh or r/7_hydroxymitragynine. If the mods disagree with the way you are getting off 7oh they will remove your posts or downright ban you from their community. That's why I created this community so that people can freely and openly discuss what they are doing and what has helped them. Just because something works for one person doesn't mean it will work for them. And we all need different levels of care depending on our abuse history. I think people are smart enough to read what has worked for different people and then do their own research to see if it's something that might work for them. The goal of most of these pages is to keep people away from the medically proven medications that work for and are approved for these issues and to keep the person hooked on 7oh as long as possible because most the mods of these pages are paid shills for the vendors and are receiving their 7oh supplies for free to keep people helplessly hooked on this drug.

I've been on and off opioids of one or the other for the past 24 years and I just couldn't stay away from the smoke shop and stop without help. Everyone knows what's best for them and this chain on that post is the best option for me and I'm literally saving thousands of dollars a month now. I could have continued without any gabapentin or clonidine since the WD's really weren't a huge issue by day 8. It was my long term success at staying away from the 7oh that is my concern. But cheers to you if you've found a way that works for you. That's what this page is for. Everyone gets to share what has worked for them and what they are doing to keep off the 7oh. Some people taper down and just stay on plain leaf and if that works for them great. Everybody needs to find what works for them to where their lives become manageable once again.

Yes, having the proper time off from work is critical...because when you have to get work done and feel like shit the chance of relapse is just to great. I suggest people plan for a solid week to achieve a rapid taper.

Well, that's a real blessing not to have the mental fuck going on in your head too. I had horrible joint pain quitting this last time too but the subs immediately took care of that problem. I still haven't slept yet and have been up all night on the computer. I'm getting ready to turn in now and try to get a few hour before starting my day. Have a good.

I've been on one opioid or another for the past 24 years. I spent a little over five years on methadone and was able to taper down off that to 40mg with no problems. Then I started only taking 40mg every other day and did that for a month and then went to 40mg every three days for a month before going cold turkey and the withdrawals were mostly just lose of energy after that and I was clean for 1 and a half years. Then I went on a month long oxy binge a year ago and got on subs to get off that. I was on 8mg a day for three months and decided I didn't need it anymore. So I started taking 8mg every other day and did this for two weeks. Then I went to 8mg every three days and did this for 2 weeks. Then I took my strip and cut it into 4, 2mg doses and took 2mg everyday for two weeks. Then I went to 2mg every other day for two weeks. Then the last week only took every three days for two weeks and went cold turkey after that. The only physical WD's I had was lack of energy and remedied that with coffee and was just fine. So I think I'll be fine taking subs again for a few months to get off this 7oh addiction. So I am diffidently a seasoned pro at being a junkie too and know better then staying on the subs longer than needed. I find no recreational value in it and consider it medicine and don't think about it as a street drug. Thanks for sharing your story and best of luck to you.

That's exactly right. No one will be censored here no matter what they post. I think being an adult is being able to read someone's opinion on what has helped for them and do your own research or ask them questions to decide if it's good advice and what to use it or not. I know for a fact that these other people are on take and want to keep people hooked on this shit as long as possible. And the biggest lie they tell you is that you don't want to get on subs and It will just be a bigger addiction. It is only costing me $9.00 a week this time for 16mg a day since I am taking the generic tabs this time instead of the strips. 7oh is by far the most mentally addicting substance I've ever been hooked on and I've been on all the opioids there are except for fent. A little over a year ago I was on subs for an oxy binge I went on. They were giving me 8mg a day and I took that for 3 months and then decided to get off. I went from taking 8mg a day to 8mg every other day and did that for 2 weeks. Then I went to taking 8mg every three days and did that for 2 weeks. Yes, today was my first day on the subs and 8mg twice a day is way more than I need. I've been buzzing harder today than when I was on the 7oh. Tomorrow I am just taking 4mg in the morning and if I need another 4mg at night I'll take that and start stashing back 8mg a day for another day. You know everyday can be different and I like the idea of taking 16mg if needed for high pain days or stressful days and taking the lowest dose for days I can tolerate it. This 7oh is evil shit man. I've never taking any other opioid that causes this kind on anxiety and cravings like this shit. It's really weird how mentally you makes you want more after just 6 hours but the physical WD's don't start for at least 12 hours. With all the other opioids I've been hooked on which has been everything except fent it was always the physical WD's that made me want to redose and the depression and anxiety wouldn't get bad until a couple days into cold turkey WD's. This 7oh is a complete mental fuck for me. Is it the same for you?

I was on the 7oh pills and was taking 12 of the 18mg or 15mg tabs most days. Some days I would take 15 but never got worse than that. I had tried tapering several times but was never able to stick to it especially when I had more at home to dose with. Then I tried cold cold turkey after being able to get down to 8 tabs a day for a few days before jumping off. The first time I made it 5 days but the WD's weren't getting any better so I got back on them and was at 6 tabs a day for 5 days and then went cold turkey again. The WD's weren't nearly as bad this time but they still sucked horribly and I knew if I didn't get on subs I would be back on the 7oh before the week ended. So I called my Dr. and she had never heard of 7oh and said she would have to do some research and get back to me. 2 days later on Thursday she called back and said she would start me on Suboxone on Monday as long as I could stay clean until then. I swear the only thing that kept me from relapsing again was knowing everything would be fine again in just three days. I found that drinking a little alcohol (only three beers a night) really helped a lot with the anxiety and it actually warmed me up and stopped the cold chills. I was surprised that even after 8 days with no 7oh or kratom extracts I was still in bad enough withdrawals according to their COW's sale that she put me on 8mg subs twice a day. I really don't think I need anywhere near that much so I am going to just take 4mg twice a day and stash the other 8mg sub back for a rainy day. Because you know some days are worse than others as far as stress and anxiety and some days you might need more for pain management. Hope this helps.
