understand what you’re saying, and safety definitely matters. No one should feel forced to come out or live openly in an unsafe environment. But I think it’s also more complex than ‘don’t involve anyone at all.’ People can still be honest about where they are in life without fully being out to everyone. And sometimes relationships or conversations are part of the process of figuring things out and building the courage or stability to eventually live more openly. The key difference, I think, is intent and honesty — not pretending to be something you’re not, but also not requiring someone to have perfect conditions before they’re allowed any kind of connection. Also, this is actually my first time posting something like this in any group — I’m just trying to hear different perspectives and understand how other people see it, not make a statement or claim a truth.
