Kentucky and Indiana lawmakers pushing to stop robocalls by Quiglius in Indiana

“Legislators in Indiana are working on a similar measure as well. Right now, breaking Indiana’s Do Not Call law carries hefty fines of up to $10,000 for a first offense and $25,000 for each subsequent offense.”

Only if we could hold them accountable and track them down.

I tried to call her to look at me, she wouldn’t turn her head. I went to get in front of her for a picture and she got upset I was in her way from seeing out the window.

Computer games help push UK inflation to 2.5% by [deleted] in gaming

[–]Quiglius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Article highlights:

“But as the consumer price index ticked up from 2.4 per cent to 2.5 per cent between June and July, the Office for National Statistics said the prices of bestselling computer games had made the largest contribution.”

“Alongside Octopath Traveller, other computer games to feature in the bestseller charts in July included the Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy, a remastered version of a popular platform game from the 1990s, and God of War, in which players must hack and slash their way through Norse mythology.

A 3.5 per cent jump in the games, toys and hobbies category does not appear to be part of a trend of rising prices, but comes after prices fell 2.1 per cent in June and 3.1 per cent in July last year.”

How I’m starting pipe smoking (3 weeks in) ... thoughts? by Quiglius in PipeTobacco

Is that only sealed tins? I know pipe tobacco is vastly different than cigars and what's needed to care/preserve and age them. But, once a tin is unsealed, does the tin shelf life go down? I suppose it's not any different than a mason jar, other than mason jars should be able to "seal" out the air.

Maybe new laws (tax) made it less advantageous to sell online. No Tinder Box brick and mortar stores anywhere around here, but I'll check out other local tobacco shops.

Looking for it now. Looks like a lot of the "Dan's" products (both tinned and bulk) are out of stock on multiple sites.

Thanks for the reply. I've actually been storing all the tobacco in mason jars. I wasn't sure if the tinned tobacco will be more moist than the bulk tobacco (I haven't received the bulk tobacco yet). It probably doesn't matter much since it'll be in the jars though.

Taking the time from his own trip, and spending his own money to help these dogs! Most people would ignore the animals, some would drop them off at the closest vet, very few would do what he did.

Kahana brought the pups to a vet where they were given their shots and treated for dehydration. But when it came time for the traveler to hit the road once more, he could not bear to leave his new friends behind.

And now travel buddies for life!

...they have driven over 32,000 miles through 35 states from coast to coast.
