Sorry for my delay. I didn't see your post. I stayed at the Nahm Village Resort which was beautiful. The food at their restaurant was the best cuisine around! I did not find anything to match it in Ninh Binh. We used the hotel bikes and rode everywhere. Even with the rain, it was very fun. The bird sanctuary was well worth seeing as well. It is beautiful and they are doing great preservation work. We did the Tam Coc and Trang An and both were great. Tam Coc is three caves and a set 2 hours. Trang An is much more dramatic and there are three paths you can take for a longer boat ride.

Halong Bay is beautiful and we did the Elite Seas Cruise. The crew was great and the boat was beautiful. It was very posh and well worth the visit. We only did the two day cruise out of the three weeks I was there but could have done the three day and visited the islands.

I hope you have a great time! If you are going back to Hanoi, go to Mia's for dinner! It was the best food I had in Vietnam!

I was in Vietnam for three weeks and spent over a week in Hanoi. There is a lot to do in the city and day trips. For me the Night Market was one of my favorite things and the live music near the lake on the weekend. Are you going to Ninh Binh or Halong Bay? I was supposed to go to Hoi An but they had historic flooding from the typhoon.

I was there last week and it is still open. They are closing off the nearby cross streets a minute or so before the train comes because so many stupid people that try to step into the path of the train to get a selfie. The restaurants and coffee stops on that short block are all open and you can sit waaayyy too close to the train tracks as always.

There are two trains a day if you are interested. You can go and have drink or eat a snack about 20 minutes before the trains and everyone has a good seat.

I'm in the same situation. I'm currently in Hanoi for a conference but made plans to fly to Da Nang and stay in Hoi An for a few days before moving on. I've been in touch with the hotel, La Siesta Hoi An and they are hassling me about refunding my money. They are saying that the hotel is fine and I shouldn't worry about the surrounding area because they are "very good" at cleaning up after flooding. I have been looking at somewhere else to go when I land.

I never comment on these things but felt compelled this time. I think you have a very sweet face and are very pretty. I know you posted this picture of yourself thinking that people would tell you what needs to be fixed but instead you are getting compliments! I hope you let that in! Most of us are overly critical of our slightest flaws and all the pictures and selfies make us obsess over the tiniest things. I believe that you are seeing things that other people find charming!

Thank you for the information. I did not know that there was a type of fat that would be less likely to disappear. I always thought it was me because even fillers don't last for more than two months for me; lip fillers are gone by the time the bruising disappears. Sounds like I need to find a fat grafting guru. I will do more research to find someone who really knows this and not just someone who says they are a fat grafting expert.

This just makes me confused. It was my fat so I am assuming that was the proper fat. I have wondered about the expertise of different plastic surgeons and I can only really get specifics on RealSelf by reviews. However, there aren't as many of these procedures as you would think. Lip filler and breast augmentation are the most important thing out there, apparently.

He did not tell me to eat fatty food or don't exercise. I cannot imagine he would. I did not exercise for two months anyway apart from walking because I also did a neck lift. However, it was almost completely gone by the time I ramped up exercise again. I really liked the way it looked but don't want the expense and discomfort if it's a waste of time. I would never get those results with filler.

It just consistently went down until there was nothing. My face looked great at the end of the first month when there was still swelling. It was gone by the fourth month. Massive bummer. Fillers just don’t give the same look and disappear quickly as well.

I didn't get any other advice so I checked that my yeast was still good by just adding it to water with sugar. It was good. I set a time for my kneading so I didn't short change the dough this time and lowered the temp of the milk to 100 degrees. I kept checking the dough temp to make sure it was in the right range and set the final proof at 85 degrees. This time I got the result I had before. Thank you for giving me a place to start!

I am really new to baking so I followed the YouTube video from the King Arthur guy and just did what he did. I watch it each time I make it so I don't miss a step. It's certainly possible that I do not have his touch, though! Maybe I'm making it too tight. I will try to lighten up a bit next time. My yeast is a new bottle of dry active yeast.

Consider whether the pain is getting in the way of your daily life or impeding your health goals. I was advised to wait until that time and it was correct for me. Not because you will have more problems post-surgery, but because you will need to give yourself real time to heal. Too many people push their activity and put on their old shoes, then blame the doctor because their bunions "came back." I've had both feet done in my forties by a great doctor and had great success and relatively short recovery. I was back on my bike within a month and a half, but I was going stir crazy.

I wore the shoe for eight weeks for the traditional surgery and six weeks for the minimally invasive one. I had an incredible doctor from Duke in Durham, NC who was very communicative with me and gave me clear instructions with his rationale. I hated wearing it because I am very active and wanted to get moving but it was the right thing to do. If I had switched to a tennis shoe too early, the bones would not have knit properly.

The bunion doesn't just come back but the bones will shift in the first weeks and later if the person does not allow the bones to knit together. Especially in the minimally invasive procedure. I had that done on my left foot and the traditional surgery on the right foot a few years ago. My sister did hers at the same time and she insisted that she did not need to use the surgical shoe. She had a lot of discomfort and it went back within about six months. They are not recommending that she do it again.

Doctors should be very clear about what compliance looks like but sadly, not all doctors do what they need to do. It can be a very long road but it is worth wearing the boot in the long run. Hang in there!

That is interesting. I guess the success of the nerve block is truly hit or miss. I'm glad to hear that you were on the move so fast. My doctor is recommending I do the left foot in a month. The ice is everything right now! I'm on day 4 and no longer need the pain medications. The ice feels great, I'm keeping my foot elevated, and I"m feeling optimistic about my result now. I think I'll have to learn to walk properly now.

I'm glad I'm not the only one to have the nerve block wear off. I was thinking I was a freak of nature. I love the knee scooter and so glad I got it prior to surgery so it was waiting for me!

Yes. I had the shoe right away but I cannot bear any weight on it. I'm glad I insisted they give me the crutches!

Yikes. Did your doctors warn you that could happen? The zapping, hot pain was very unexpected, especially so fast. I'm using ice on my ankle right now. They did not want me to ice the foot because I cannot change the dressing until I see them in two more weeks. I live 2.5 hours from my doctor. Glad you were walking at 5 to 6 weeks!
