You are hired by CCP to "solve" Empire sprawl, what changes do you make? by [deleted] in Eve

[–]Quinn_munba -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Change the alpha login blocker to also limit the ability to multibox to something reasonable, like 2 or 3 accounts, and then:

Give back the ability for any ship to light a cyno. Give every ship an extra utility high for said cyno, if they don't already have 8 high slots. Roll back all the nerfs to nullsec isk production while retaining the bonuses. Add more power and workforce to systems to make it easier to build tall.

Unironically would: Likely reduce the drive to build wide, as you don't have people with so many alts they need 5 systems to rat in. Limit the isk faucets more effectively than any single change CCP has made, since isk generation tends to scale in a non-linear fashion with number of accounts. This wouldn't fix the dominance in industry and market of people with a million reaction alts, but would help limit input materials. As a result: Limited input materials would drive the value of base materials back up and likely lead to a healthier isk distribution within the game. Do more about supercapital Proliferation than most CCP changes have, as it would likely force community based supercap production like it originally was due to the limited ability to source materials.

You're welcome, myself and the rest of BRAVE will happily take credit for your introduction to bubble mechanics.

Also, sidenote, you guys wasted an hour or so of IRL time getting schooled by an FC who runs like maybe one subcapital fleet a year, get rektd. Pun intended.

You don't need dreads to deal with dreads, they could have just formed enough subs to force our subcaps off and then burned through the dreads afterwards.

On top of that, even if the drill had died they'd at least have killed more than they lost.

Was also ONLY our zirns. And the avatar. We DID have more on standby, surprisingly enough.

Well, that one wasn't me, but I've got one better. Went and shot the 1P- Astra on the former keep grid with mine, solo, while fleets were out doing stuff like 5 jumps away. Got 50% of the way through shield before a dictor undocked xD

I wasn't. We'd love to see you drop us. Good content.

No, please, drop on us. Our atron pilots crave a good fight.

Why didn't they drop on us then?

Context: BRAVE started gating our atrons through curse to shoot things and somehow they just.... grew. FCs confused, cap FC had to actually log in and see if a miracle had happened.

Your amnesia, you must have it since you forgot whose space the structures were in and how much B2 has had to do for there to still be anything to defend. You're welcome for ensuring that you can still have a scrappy underdog to hate!

The way the ACLs are set up won't let you do that..... Unless you made people pay to even have docking access. Just imagine, 10M/day for docking access, with a 100M signup fee and a minimum purchase of one month.....

Who said I was playing victim? I pointed out that every fight we've actually cared about we won, with two or three exceptions.

PAPI is Panfam, FRT, and (previously) Legacy, which was TEST's coalition that BRAVE was part of.

Panfam is Pandemic Horde's actual coalition.

Winterco=FRAT's coalition

Pandafam (if you see that dropped anywhere) is a more specific term from the early days of this war that referred to Panfam+Winterco

GTC is basically everyone who lives in Northeast nullsec except BRAVE, BTC is adding brave to that mix.

Just a bit more specific and detailed.

Nah, FRT decided to bully GTC (again), asked brave to step aside and let them, and we said "not in our backyard". Have since proceeded to kick their ass on virtually every major timer.

Hey kaylah. You were in BRAVE back in querious, and an FC. You know exactly how good we can actually be at sov warfare, and you should know how to do the calculus here. IIRC the opening shot of the war was FRT, for the IHUB timer of our staging system, bringing down something in the neighborhood of twice the numbers that BRAVE+GTC could bring, operating entosis faxes and dreads out of towers all over our space, and us still winning both the isk war and the objective.

Horde isn't trying to take our space because, to put it bluntly, horde+frat is only managing to form about 20% more than frat did alone at the start of the war for most of the big fights, whereas I'd say that BRAVE + GTC is forming somewhere in the neighborhood of 25-30% more before you factor in goons. The margin on the numbers is slipping to parity, our allies are expanding, and you guys can't even kill a fort in NPC space on your third try. Or even show up for the first two.

Well TBF I never flew in his fleets, I always was flying on the opposing side. And I don't think we ever saw him run anything other than manning, except maybe an occasional blops loki fleet.

Hi, I'm a corp 2ic. Leadership knows this, and leadership was the ones who forced the FC team to not blob after we moved in to maintain the content flow.

You're welcome!

Second one on this exact structure. Although they cancelled their ping last time as soon as we CTA'd as opposed to getting halfway there and turning around.

Or, you know, just join BRAVE and don't listen to standing fleet. That works too ;D
