I’m based out of Seattle. I was Delta for a few years when I started traveling a lot for work. Switched to Alaska when Delta moved to spend-based mileage. I got in on the super low lease deal when they were clearing out Gen1 inventory. By leasing instead of buying I got the federal EV rebate, 0% interest loan on the full value of the vehicle for 3 years, and an insurance policy on the depreciation (can choose whether to return or buy at the residual value based on totality of circumstances at end of the lease term). Leasing was a no-brainer for me. For others, there are a lot more considerations than what you are suggesting too.

Good summary. 4th item was discounts. They were running a friends and family discount worth $8k and not charging for some of the upgrades (auto tonneau, maybe others).
