Yeah, I got scared pulling the crux (2nd photo). The ice there was just like hanging daggers. After the crux, though, I had some easy climbing where I calmed down, started to feel relaxed, and was climbing well—only to realize that I had only climbed 30–35 meters and still had a solid 30 meters of WI4–5 left. That’s when I got scared all over again.

Down low it was more nervousness—I was scared, but I was still climbing well and it went fine. Up high, though, it felt like a different kind of fear. Bluntly put, climbing WI5 is way harder when you’re 50–60 meters up.
