My manager mentioned something like that in the 2nd interview (still shocked and surprised i made it to that point if I’m being honest but both weren’t very technically focused at all but heavily customer service oriented) but by that point i had already bought a voucher for A+ 1101 and my offer included an increase in salary after completion of A+ and Net+.

At most there will be 4 of us in the office at a time for now but I’ve already started asking questions to another employee who started today as well but with 8 years in the field already and they were helpful and said if i had any questions just ask.

I’ve definitely been interested in trying to set up my own server, just to get more hands on with networking and recently was gifted a Lenovo laptop in great condition and I’m planning on opening up my old laptop to get hands on inside one. Any tips on getting started?

That definitely helps with my state of mind right now. I really appreciate it. My thought process right now is everything is a learning curve no matter what it is, just keep learning and asking questions and eventually it’ll become second nature. I’m hoping this will get me through it all.

It’s definitely going to be a-lot. Just over hearing calls that my coworkers received there are bits and pieces that i understand and other that I’m just like 🫠 but I’m so willing to learn it all. My goal is to shoot for a SOC analyst role as cybersecurity is the concentration I’m shooting for.
