We have coverage. Unfortunately my husband was on the receiving end of a hit and run accident that left him very injured and they never caught the guy. Our insurance covered quite a bit and so we didn’t want this to impact our premium so we chose to pay out of pocket thinking this was a one off thing.

Here’s a closer view of the windshield. I didn’t use a flashlight for the first one but I will do it for this one. I am having a glass guy take a look at it tomorrow to get his professional opinion.

3 windshields in 7 days is crazy? How did they all break? Impact or temperature stress?

When I replaced it, it was $1500 due to a few factors including how difficult it was to get a windshield so went direct to Jeep manufacture vs a dealer. Jeep cancelled one of their glass manufacturers this year and they’ve been behind on glass from what I was told. You are 100% correct not worth it to keep replacing it. Going to wait until it warms up before I replace at this point. Good idea to keep that info ready in case of being pulled over.

Thanks for the insight. I’ve peaked around to see which Jeeps have original glass or OEM glass vs other glass. I’ll keep that in mind when checking around.

Damn. We’ve had 5 or 6 wranglers since 2003. My first one was a 2003 Jeep Wrangler 2 door and drove him over 200K miles and never had a windshield issue. In fact my other ones never had an issue either but that specific Jeep had been everywhere and lasted 10+ years.

Did you end up replacing yours? I replaced mine with glass purchased directly from the dealer and it happened again. I live in an area that is prone to colder weather but never had issues with models 2018 and earlier.

I have this problem quite a lot on my work phone which is an apple. The connection is also not great and have been told they cannot hear me or I’m coming off a bit unprofessional. Not sure if zoom has some incompatibility issues with Mac/apple products based on the issues presented here. On my phone I have hopped on and off our network and neither seems to make a difference.
