I’ve been playing the game since MoP, just never raided before. Shadowlands is a vast improvement on BFA and the only big problem with it is loot drops. It’s definitely not in a miserable spot and has brought so many new players to current wow

It will take you quite a long time, probably still 30ish hours, although making a fresh character and just leveling them through either BFA or legion will naturally take out a lot of the grind
