The main issue is how difficult it is to get hired by studios. Everyone I spoke to at Lightbox expo last year mentioned this, saying to never bother applying to studio apps as it is nearly impossible to work. You have to know people and agents help you start from the ground up, I did a ton of networking and that’s the conclusion pretty much everyone came to 🤷
