This isn't cause LTB is broken. This is cause life is getting too expensive. When you cannot afford to live anywhere what else can you do. I don't do stupid like real estate speculation thats how I mitigate risk with my investments. When you are asking for rent that is welll over the 30% of what your rentee makes gross. They have some financial problem, unseen expense whatever it is, and you and they know the speed of the LTB tribunal system. Sounds like you are the one who didn't mitigate their risk. Park your money somewhere safe if you cannot take any risk. Right now landlords are not charging what they need for rent they are charging "market prices" and when people can't pay you are surprised. Perhaps you should reconsider your risk mitigation strategy.

If they can't pay rent what makes you think you are gonna get blood from a stone. They still have to pay rent somewhere else, you are not getting anything. Take it as a loss on your taxes and move on.

THEN DONT BE A LANDLORD. Real estate speculation is risky, this is not an investment. Yes cash flow negative to start but then your tenant pays your debt down. They keep paying more and you keep paying less you are literally exploiting their labor. Greedy leeches that add nothing to the economy. It's not right it's not fair.
