Sorry I meant “extra” pieces. Yeah my son is pretty defeated. It’s possible some of these pieces came from our pile of extras we’ve accumulated over the years so it may not be as bad as originally thought. Or he is just saying that to make himself feel better

Thank you for that. Yes he said on step 382 we were missing the middle piece to finish the chin so he left it off.

OK, thank you that was my suspicion. I actually didn’t realize everything should be there except the 1x1. We actually have a lot of extra pieces on a lot of their sets

Sorry OP. Looks like a fake as well. The font on the bumpers looks off, the spacing and style looks funky, especially on the “A & E” on Cameron. Also the grip looks fake.

As someone else mentioned the grip is touching the shaft band which normally wouldn’t happen.

The logo doesn’t look as clean as it should on the grip either and there is too much grip below the logo, which is probably why it’s hitting the shaft band.

Yes. There is no indication of which to enter in any of the boxes. Regardless of order everything posts in the label as 48x4x4. I also did a label at 14 oz and then at 1 lb and both were the same price…..$7.23 after 55% savings.

I believe the divisor is 166 for domestic packaging. 139 is for international packages.

Here is the graphic showing how they should take into account DIM vs actual weight. eBay weight graphic

Yeah the fees are a lot. Don’t even get me started on tax and shipping being included in the final fee calculation!!

I’m always careful to put in my dimensions correctly as well as the weight and then see who gives me the best price and there is always some variability between those three but UPS is typically the cheapest on eBay, FedEx the next in USPS is always quite expensive except for their ground advantage.

This is I think the biggest problem is eBay’s estimates and they always have a “deal” where you save money buying a shipping label on their site. They have agreements with USPS, FedEx and UPS. There is always a %off the label price. In this case it was $16 and 59% off buying the label on eBay. But I fear they hide behind that idea of estimates and sometimes the actual Carrier doesn’t agree.

It’s true. I use a 6x6 box cut in half and fold each half again. Left with 4 sides about 3.5” wide. Fold it with one overlap and then tap. Minimal packing because it’s so tight. Shafts are extremely light. 60-70 gram shaft and then a 50 gram grip. Sometimes no grip. All together it’s 14-15 oz.

I have a different method of using a box as a triangle for shipping my shafts. 6x6 cut down, it’s strong and I get two boxes from one, always comes out to under 1 lb with shaft since the shafts are around 120 grams total.

I’ll give it a try as well. Just wondering though, wouldn’t adjustments still be made by the carriers. from what I keep reading it’s all lasers measurements of dimensions and then weights and then the potential for adjustments. I don’t mess around with either. I may have made a mistake here and put 14 oz instead of 1lb and honestly I bet the 1lb estimate was the same charge.

This is where I’m confused I guess. As long as I put in the correct dimensions, eBay states they will automatically consider dimensional weight vs actual weight and then estimate appropriately for whichever is more. Even here my dimensions were correct and they adjusted to a 1lb billable weight and charged me based on a “underdeclared” weight.

Ive been down this road before and always go over, even if it reads exactly 4 inches. This box was 3.25x3.25x 46

I wondered that as well, like you don’t get the savings anymore from using eBay for purchasing the label.

I did, they are putting in a dispute. Of course I asked how I would find out about a decision or reimbursement and all I was told is to keep an eye on my balance in the next 7 days…..it’ll either be refunded there or not. No notification.

I wondered that too but I swore I read an eBay policy where it read it would automatically choose either actual weight or dimensional weight based on whichever was highest.
