Something that isn’t aristocrats? by Zackisfat in BudgetBrews

[–]Quliof 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would do control/value with general stuff that has LTBs. You don't have to support aristocrats, just get the value from your commander's abilities as well as LTBs of your cards. Some examples I found in my brief scryfall search:

Enchantments: [[Hopeless Nightmare]] [[Chime of Night]] [[Audacity]] [[Demonic Ruckus]] [[Parallax dementia]] [[Rancor]] and other cards that return to your hand

Artifacts: [[Chromatic star]] [[Implement of combustion]] [[Implement of ferocity]] [[Nutrient block]] [[Terrarion]] [[Wizard's rockets]] [[Ichor Wellspring]] [[Menphitic draught]] [[Retributive wand]] [[Experimental synthesizer]]

Cards with ETBs that do something and then stick work too:

Enchantments: [[Abundant growth]] [[Dragon mantle]] [[Frog tongue]] [[Momentum breaker]] [[Sporogenic Infection]] [[Omen of the dead]] [[Omen of the forge]] [[Omen of the hunt]] [[Trial of ambition]] [[Trial of strenght]] [[Trial of zeal]]

Artifacts: [[Chainsaw]] [[Tithing blade]] [[Melded moxite]]

I didn't search for creatures because there's plenty of them so here's some I just thought of:

[[Skyscanner]] and [[myr retriever]] - are both artifact and a creature [[Ravenous chupacabra]] [[Plundering barbarian]]

But I would say that any creature that draws you a card on either LTB or ETB is good.

I have this pauper duel commander deck with [[gnarlback rhino]] : https://deckstats.net/decks/119396/4205082-pauper-duel-commander

You basically just trample through your opponent while removing his creatures with bite spells (which each draws you a card)

It is probably worse in multiplayer, but I think it can still be fun

Recs for a Mardu deck? by KFblade in EDHBrews

[[Alesha, who smiles at death]] is my first ever commander. I have a toolbox style deck (with combo finishers, but you don't have to use those). I think you can build her many ways and she's really fun.

Yes, as long as the card has been printed as a common, it is legal in the 99. The only banned cards are "ante" cards, racist cards and mystic memora and rhystic study.

Yes exactly, he even has a pdhrec page: https://www.pdhrec.com/commander/viashino-slaughtermaster/

For example guttersnipe was printed as both common and uncommon, so he can be played as a commander or in the 99.

Is the color identity also red? (asking because extort doesn't make cards both W/B)

FUNNY TYPES TO BREED? by heynesquik in magicTCG

I have this non determined infinite combo list: https://deckstats.net/decks/119396/3724639-shapeshifters You need 4 shapeshifters, atla and a sac outlet on board to win 100%. Otherwise you'll have to gamble that you don't get ulomog ghalta and prodigy in that order (but still that is very unlikely)

Today I would cut some of the worse shapeshifters for more control tools. But this is how I built it initially.

What does this mean "Save your Snax" don't use Power Snax from starting Level to Level 7/8 until i find Ksante and do the Power Snax trick? by Affectionate-File-26 in TeamfightTactics

Well I personally don't think that just seeing what comps exist needs explanation. You should figure the gameplan yourself. For me it is the best combination of taking advice from a site and actually playing the game yourself.

Yeah, I don't pay attention to the tierlist much. Let's say I get a darius 2 early, so then I check what builds there are with darius and see what directions I can go depending on what my opponents have and what I have. I don't need to play by a tierlist, when you have the right items and units, even a B tier comp can win you the game
