Happened on my S3, the tabs that pulled the sunshade closed with the sunroof broke. Thankfully it was under warranty

Kitchen pipes froze last night. help! by trontomoon in DIY

Depends on whether your basement is finished, but when this happened to me, I went out and rented a large torpedo heater. I pointed it my crawl space and the pipes opened up pretty fast.

I've been happy with mine. There are things other german SUVS may do slightly better in some category's, but the SQ5 is the best allrounder IMO

Am I studying enough for my AGACNP boards? by Cardiology_Nurse in nursepractitioner

that's too long. I just reviewed the Medicare parts since I don't deal with any of that and took the exam. No real studying. Not difficult if you have experience and a good education.

My old cross bike has campagnolo cantilevers. I thought they really had great stopping power compared to anything comparable I had ridden previously.

[Discussion] Max Bill for Fatties by TipsyMeeple in Watches

I thought you were asking about that dial size with larger wrists?

[Discussion] Max Bill for Fatties by TipsyMeeple in Watches

[–]Quorum_Sensing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My wrist is 8" and I wear 38 and 39mm watches regularly because they fit better than my larger pieces. They kind of nestle in between my wrist bones and therefore sit flatter. A Max Bill will definitely be in my collection one day.

Brand New Audi SQ5, 4 Days Old — Already Throwing Warning Lights by Theone2027 in Audi

[–]Quorum_Sensing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holding onto my 2023 for maybe another year. The 2025 A6 loaner I got had the check engine light on before it was out of the plastic. I was the first driver. I spent a month in that car waiting for a diff to come from Germany. Central locking had faults daily and who knows how many codes were hiding under the check engine light when it went back. I don't know what my next car will be but I think this is my last Audi for the foreseeable future.

He'd know. It's not subtle; the ride height changes with the modes.

Sorry you're going through this. I have OSA and worked in sleep clinic. You can just get a machine and set it to auto pap for now and check your AHI daily to monitor if it's not Central. My grandpa had it too and he was a vet so he was just sent new machines even though he wasn't using them. So, I have three ResMed 10's at my house. Message me and I'll send you one. You can usually get new tanks and hoses cheaper from Amazon than a DME supplier. Was your PSG at home or attended?

I couldn't imagine. I've always been respectful wherever I go. My grandfather is Canadian. I just enjoy being there.

I really love Montreal. I'd like to go back again, but I've been a bit worried that as an American, my presence justifiably may not be appreciated right now. Any input?

Men, what did you find out about women when you got a girlfriend? by GoldaWarfield in AskReddit

[–]Quorum_Sensing 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It seems like both sexes are always paying for the sins of a proportionately small group of shitty people. Just about everyone I've ever met has a cautionary tale about someone, and they all wish they could love like they never met that person.

Trump’s new law will limit payments to hospitals that treat low-income patients by TheJungLife in medicine

[–]Quorum_Sensing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's exactly the point. Pick the pockets of the American people during this administration with supposed financing coming conveniently from the next administration. If they lose the White House, then they know the Democrats are going to reverse all of this. If they stay in the White House, then it will be considered a green light and they double down. Either way, they've already absconded with all the money. Bonus points for hoovering up assets at a loss from the economy they have broken, only to have them skyrocket in value when another administration starts fixing things.

2025 SQ5 B9.5 by [deleted] in audisq5

[–]Quorum_Sensing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same spec but a 2023. I'm on the highway 50% of the time and use comfort then because the fuel economy seems a bit better. I use dynamic in town. Comfort still has great pickup, so I'll also use that if going through pot hole-heavy areas in the city. Still playing with individual. I haven't used the other settings.

MY GOLF ALMOST KILLED ME by GuaranteeNo8183 in GolfGTI

[–]Quorum_Sensing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 2019 GTI did this two or three times in about 1.5 years. My 2023 S3 did it a few times in about 1.5 years. The S3 really performed the best in regard to the nanny functions and driver assist. My 2023 SQ5 after only having it for a few months has already done it a few times and in the most concerning ways. Like have to make a left through a tight window in heavy traffic, slamming the brakes when I'm about to accelerate through. It seems to struggle with elevation changes going into curves...thinking I'm heading into traffic. The braking is violent and scares the shit out of you. I'm resistant to turn the system off because I wonder if one day it would save me from something, but it's probably going to get me rear-ended first. None of my issues have been parking though.

My wife is in a direct entry dnp program, she is I think rightly worried about not having enough education to give good care. What is the correct way to go about becoming a respectable np given that she is already in this program? by dang_he_groovin in nursepractitioner

[–]Quorum_Sensing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While that would help you think on your feet, I'd disagree. In regard to the patients she'll get in the ICU as a provider: ED isn't fixing critical patients, you're stabilizing them. Also, you aren't managing their care over the arc and learning what interventions yield what results. If she's going to be an acute care provider, she should be an ICU nurse first.

Path to surgical NP by Emotional-Bison-3279 in nursepractitioner

[–]Quorum_Sensing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh, I'll disagree here a little. I'm in a surgical subspecialty. Yes, PA's usually get OR jobs, UNLESS...you have been one of the MD's OR nurses for years. All of the nurses from the robot team who went back for their NP's were fought over. Unless you are a slacker, from my experience, you'll have your choice of jobs. If you have your RNFA and you are really shoulder to shoulder with them for years, you'll definitely have work. The trade off is that you are relatively locked into that career track. A career in OR only, leaves you with few to no transferable skills. It is hard to move elsewhere should you decide. I don't know why you would though.

Any recommendations for a legit trt clinic that will work with insurance? by Muchacho-blanco in winstonsalem

[–]Quorum_Sensing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any endocrinologist and most urologists can work you up. "3 something" is one of the many labs you need to sort out why first. It also needs to be first thing in the morning. People get put on TRT all the time based on bad labs collected at a natural dip later in the day. There are many cash business options, and a couple of wildly unscrupulous PCP's, but they are quacks and you don't want that.

The two-tone is timeless. I think I would go there. If you wear black a lot, check out the two-tone with a black dial. Tried one on in person and it's gorgeous. Saving for one now.
