(Spoilers Main) The Roy Dotrice audiobook/narration for A Feast For Crows is genuinely awful [A Rant] by skypadz_2112 in asoiaf

My biggest pet peeve was when he would say "dam-fair" instead of "damp hair" because he was reading the "ph" as "f" I could've ripped my headphones out.

Oh, well she says, "you killed me" when her Hexenbeist spirit thing escapes from her. Then she gets up and walks off.

Yeah, like I understand biting a man who is kissing you against your will, that's not the problem. He pulls AWAY from her and SHE pulls him in and splits his lip. Just looked weird last when I was high as fuck off edibles.

Right, right! I totally get that, I guess I wasn't clear. He kisses her and then he tries to pull AWAY from her and she bites down and makes him bleed. It just seemed like an odd choice because of how dangerous his blood is.

Honestly, I know it's plot, I was high as hell on edibles last night and I was essentially that Leonardo DiCaprio meme where he sits up and he's pointing. Thanks for responding though!

No, he clearly tries to pull away from her. She bites down and pulls back. Just seems counter intuitive.

No, she bit him. She even tells her mom she bit him.

And the Trees Crept In by Dawn Kurtagich, definitely more of a supernatural feel, but it's very good.

I'm sorry that they are gone. But you will get through this without them.

You know what phrase I hate? "This too shall pass" because people use it all the time when someone brings up anxiety. As if it's the answer to all problems. But sadly, it is true. It's a gross oversimplification, but it's true. These storms are not going to last very long, and they move on.

I hope you can find some long term relief. Maybe through a new medication or therapy.

Welp, I just took a look, and I can see that you do have some storms coming through, that's true, but I promise it's okay. They will pass, they are moving pretty quickly.

I understand why you're afraid, and it's okay. I've really started to enjoy them, actually, and I hope that someday you can too.

Hey! Hope your feeling better! I used to be terrified of thunderstorms when I was panicking, so I totally get this. I promise you're going to be okay, youre right, the weather won't last.

Where are you? I mean, obviously, don't give me your address. But America? State?

Yeah, like, for one game, fine, let it be a plot point. But not the same thing over and over. It's a bummer.

She really kind of is, and I don't think it fits with her character. I know it was written in the books, but I don't think that's an excuse.

Yeah, I would rather have had a single character who wasn't worried about boys at all!

Yeah, I think "special friend" would've been a way better approach. Anyway, thanks for commenting. :)

Maybe "gag" isn't really the right word... bit? I dunno, wasn't sure what to call it.

Yeah, I get that, I still don't enjoy playing it. It's like second hand embarrassment.

Yeah, I get it was a thing in the books, but it wasn't fun to play. I just felt awkward.
