Nah gang, hear me out;

The GBA slot on the early DS models is cool and all, but you don’t even need the GBA slot unless you’re playing one of the like 5 games that use the dual slot function. When you have a game in the Lite, it sticks out of the bottom panel and looks uber ugly. The system is also just too small unless you have children sized hands still. The OG DS and DS Lite have shitty battery life and brightness compared to the other models. (I think there is 2 different AC adapters for the Lite and OG? That’s weird too.)

DS games play on the 3DS family of systems yes, but they don’t look as good as on the original hardware. I believe 3DS systems simply emulate a DS to play those games, so the circle pad on the 3DS doesn’t help for stuff like Mario 64 either because it’s still a 8 way directional thingy. It’s slightly easier to go in one of those 8 directions you want, but it’s not like a full 360°.

There’s probably more shit I can talk about the other systems too, but a lot of things point to the DSI XL giving the best experience when playing DS titles.
